Crossfit is a nice thing to get more inactive people to start doing something. Problem is it lacks structure and a lot of people are abusing the fad to make money off people while teaching them inappropriately. The youtube link posted of crossfit, trust me they didn't do crossfit to look like that. Most accomplished crossfitters came from different sporting backgrounds. Even for Crossfit games, the participants DO NOT train "crossfit" style up until shortly before competition where they may perhaps throw in some WODs. Again, it's a nice thing to have to get people to do something rather than slouching in front of the TV but it can be better.
Oh an Xhale is right. Just get on a strength routine and rule the world from there
I also skimmed a post about no carbs at night. That's a myth that has been disproved.
