I usually target the prior high when I enter on retraces. But right now, I might only get 20-30 pips from 120.75. We'll see...

I think you should leave it. Look at the time stamp. It marked the same 5 minute bar that was the turn point. I would kill for a signal that good.

I wanted to share one thing I look at sometimes, in a strong trending pair like UJ. I put a bollinger bands on my chart with 100 period. Then whatever time frame I look at, I note how the price is reacting to the outer bands.

On any given time frame, if the price is moving up, and usually bounces off the bottom, chances are if/when it gets down there again, it will bounce.

Of course, a lot more to it, in terms of SL and TP target, but just wanted to throw this out there to explain my recent efforts to enter long, I wasn't just blindly hitting buy

Right now a really strong bounce off the lower band on M15. Let's see how far it can go...

Edit: Also bounces off the outer band usually coincide with S/R levels as well, for added confirmation...

I use EMA's,fibs,pivots and sometimes longer term S and R levels.....will have to have a look at the bolingers not too sure how they work but hey might be time to find out.... what do you use as your standard deviation?? do you leave it set at 2 and 100 period?

Yes, I leave it at 2. I don't always use BB. But it helps sometimes to remind me when the price is trading at an extreme. If it it also lines up with S/R levels, then can be a pretty good indication of a reversal, especially on retrace of a strong trend...

I'm waiting to see how the price reacts to current level it's trading at. Looks like it wants to find support. My TP is open ended right now, kind of watching to see how it unfolds...

IMHO, for the U/J to have a healthy reversal, and shift lower for the remainder of the year, it must challenge the high (of the year) first.

ha ha, I hope so, came less than 2 pips to my SL at 120.73

Consolidating here. Will need to take out 121.08 to confirm effort to rise from here.

Alright troops, entered on the retrace today, going to shoot for first target at the highs, will take a 3rd of my position off there and will trail the rest.
