This was the trade to take right away. Missed it. Textbook example though. 5 pip spread however, Ouch!

I am currently in the EURUSD sell. Unsure though because the M5 shows a different picture. We will see...

Update: took a 0.3 pip gain. To much sitting around going nowhere.

You can see where I entered. It was to early. I should have entered on the red arrow. If I had stayed in, it would have netted the 5 pips I look for.

Good morning Mr Capstone

Up bright and breeezy this morning I see

Yep that GBPAUD was it for this morning and I called it right but said it was between GBPAUD and EURAUD and guess what?? I went for the latter and got a handful but not much else as it didn't really pullback to a key level for me... Oh well can't win em all I guess...

Next time I'm going to take entries on whatever sets up,in fact, both if I have to as its so difficult to know which ones going to go isn't it???

Anyway standing aside for the NFP but will look just after to see whoose top of my TTindy then wait for a pullback and hit it.. Quite often get some lovely runs just after NFP especially if theres a large differential. Its another way to use the TTindy to see whoose going the hardest and jump on board...

Are you trading it????

Oh by the way meant to say Capital trust markets, my broker, regular spread on GBPAUD between 2 and 3 pips, same for GBPJPY and EURJPY so all the really lively boys at a fair spread... I'm considering only trading the GBP pairs plus EURAUD, AUDUSD EURJPY but only when they're in my Top trenders....As they tend to go further than most other pairs..

I will check them out. I probably will not trade NFP because I have to go to work 20 minutes after its release and it takes that long for the big boys to decide what they want to do.

Here is my NFP trade. I sold to early. If I had waited until the 50% Fib, the profit would have been a lot better.

A disappointing lunch trade. Yes, it was CT. Taken due to resistance on the M15 chart. You can see I just needed to weather the final push north before it fell my way, like a rock. Not sure why I did not try to re enter.

Nice call that was the high of the day 182.25 , must of had your stop awfully tight to that 25 level???

I must say, You do like to sell into strong uptrends don't you??? Is that a deliberate strategy??? When something is powering its way up the chart sell it??? Lets Catch em by surprise strategy??? What are you thinking when you sell here??? "No one in their right mind would sell here, They won't be expecting this!!!"

I'm only kidding you weren't far out here were you?? Just missed by a cats whisker from a bloody good trade...

But thats the point, when you're trading counter trend you have to get it spot on every time. Some guys appear to do it very well, but its hard work and you have to be so precise with your stops etc..or have massive stops that eventually catch you out..

Trading with the trend however is so much less demanding in fact you can make some horrendous entries and the trend makes em good and good entries become bloody good!! I took some horrendous entries today even bought at the top of a wave but the trend sorted it all out for me.

I can honestly say , the day I started trading with the trend is when my trading turned around. In fact when I started trading with the strongest trenders my trading really turned around... More winners, bigger winners, smaller losers, it all just started to turn good... Seriously have a look at any strong uptrending chart you could basically put a pending order above almost any green candle, that follows a red one, and you'd make money...check it out. Thats how easy it is...

Do you review your trades every day?? If not look back over the last 6 months and have a look which trades are costing you dear and which ones are working for you, try to see if theres a pattern there, I'll bet its your counter trend trades that are costing you money, if not fair enough carry on...

Come on Mr Capstone do yourself a favor trade with the trend....

Hey Cap, I don't want to be down on you, but by the look of the trade explorer, you are losing... whats wrong? Too many losers? TO big of of losers? Commissions?

There's a HUGE difference between trading on a demo and trading live your money. ANYONE can be a Rockstar on demo. http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=512537. It is an entirely different story when you have skin in the game. He's done a great thing and has been transparent and accountable with his trades. Yes, it opens him up to ridicule or questioning, but it also opens him up to be sharpened, just like the Bible verse he posts on his footer. Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another". That's the point here, IMHO, is to sharpen each other to be better traders.

I just closed it on accident. Tried to modify the order and closed it instead.

What a shame you closed that accidentally it was a winner too round about 15 pips at best but definitely a winner!!!!

Hey, did you enter that by limit order on that 75 level??? Crafty devil. Mind you I think if you'd entered by pending sell stop it wouldn't of pulled you in till next move down but nothing in it , interesting that, limit orders, Hmmm might give that some thought becos theres some awesome 4 or 5 pip reactions sometimes to these levels so a limit order might get me in and at BE in one tick...

keep it going my friend once you get use to trading with strong trenders you're be amazed how much easier it is and how much bigger your winners will be. Also just like this entry today, it hadn't quite finished retracing but you weren't to know that nor anyone else but the great thing is the trend would put it right for you...

What were you modifying by the way??? I drag my orders stops etc around the chart once trade gets going and did you know you can just left click or right click on the trade for different functions. Makes it far easier to mange trade as it goes...

Just one word of warning when trading with the trend ,especially the 1 minute trend, make sure you're monitoring the strength of your trend at all times and constantly checking the market structure. I gauge the strength of the trend by how clean each new drive down or up is and how clearly it takes out the last drive. Watch for failed drives first clue that your trend could be faltering... I also check each new CCI signal against the last to check market structure eg is it a HH or LH is it a LL or HL any break in the correct HHHL sequence and again it tells you your trend could be changing.. I've done a post on it tonight on my thread...

Don't forget "The trend is only our friend until it ends...."

Can feel that cord starting to shred....

I agree with your sentiments entirely Capstones got balls to put his explorer up for all to see warts and all, not many guys will do that, especially a live account, now that really takes balls.
