See the links near the bottom of this post.

It's possible that the indicator doesn't run correctly on MT4 build 600 or later. If so, I can't help you. I'm no longer able to do any MT4 coding or troubleshooting.

That's not quite what I mean... I trade the Frankfurt open, and I'm working on the premise if price moves a lot during the Asian session it's likely to be "exhausted" and not move much during the Frankfurt to London open. So I don't want to know the distance from the daily open, but I want to know how far price has travelled up and down since the daily open...

Eg. say between midnight GMT to 7am GMT, price starts a 1.0000, moves straight up to 1.1000, then back down to 1.0500, then up to 1.1000, then back down to 1.0000. Price has moved 1000 + 500 + 500 + 1000 = 2000 pips.

If price normally moves 1000 pips during midnight GMT to 7am GMT, I'll work from the premise that price is exhausted and is therefore likely to mean revert. If price normally moves 2000 pips during midnight GMT to 7am GMT, perhaps price is more likely to break out and run?

Thanks for your reply. I think I understand, you're looking at the total distance of the trip. If that's so, then every movement can potentially be broken down into smaller fractals, until you reach the tick level. I'm no longer able to do any coding, but I hope that you can find something suitable.

Hi, I currently use the following version of the indicator, however I can't edited and place it on one timeframe only, does anyone know how to fix it?

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly, but the version I uploaded HERE has a "Visibility" setting you can use.

I can't remember if hanover put that in or I cannibalized someone else's code to make it work. But it works!

No idea.

I re-downloaded the same indicator (ex4 file) and ran it in MT4 b735. Works as expected.

I predict no different result if running under 745, which I believe is the latest build to date.

Hey forum I'm looking for an indicator that just shows the time frame I am on in the top right corner or bottom left corner. It is because I am using a few monitors that I sometimes block off access to the top left of my chart to see this info. I have been looking around and can't really find anything

I found the indicator extremely useful. Thanks a lot, Hanover!! Like many other users, I initially struggled to see it work in build 600+. Then I found the EX4 version in post 94 worked perfectly (right side of the screenshot).

The original MQ4 version in post 65 (nearly) works using PIPS4LIFE's updated utility functions for build 600+ (left side of the screenshot). The only issue is that all pairs are not displayed. I tried to run through the execution step by step and found that with the 'disp' variable gets populated correctly for all pairs, and a call is made to PlotLabel for each pair - but PlotLabel selectively outputs only some rows. Has anyone else encountered this problem in build 600+. If so, I will appreciate if you can share any workaround you applied.

I have encountered the same problem as yours. Unfortunately have had no time or expertise to debug. Likewise, looking for workarounds to enable proper compile in the new builds.

In the meantime, still using the old ex4, which I'm guarding with my life!

It's the single most useful indicator I have for pair selection.
I'm not trying to convince anyone. I'm not in the "convincing" business.

I would actually like to adapt the indicator by putting in some additional indicator - hence the attempts to get the original to compile in the new builds!

it will be nice if there is a color difference betwen positif swap and negatif swap... maybe something like this

I'm sorry, but since the modified MT4 programming language was released in build 600, I haven’t been accepting any programming or troubleshooting requests.

The attached version of the indicator works perfectly. See the first screenshot (br0ker: Pepperstone) for example parameter settings.

Second screenshot shows it running happily on the latest Axi Trader MT4 build: 940.

If you have questions or issues with build 950, you should contact your MT4 supplier or br0ker.

How I can tun Your indicator? I was downloaded older versions (3 brokers) of MT4 (Build 400, etc). BUt it is not possible create demo account.

How do You solving this problem?
