"The world is full of clues to everything,
and if a man's mind is sharpened on any quest,
he happens to notice and take advantage
of what otherwise he would miss."

"Now don't get intimidated by my screens.
Because 99% of the time, my eyes are right here,
on this tiny little box, just looking at the quotes.
I actually did my best trading with just one screen,
in the old days when it was that orange neon glow."

DislikedOne cat out of the bag I remember in my earlier post about using one TF, or converting multi-TF into one (The post is here if you haven't read it yet). Man, did I get crucified or what? You see, the forums were littered with Multi-TF and books on Multi-TF trading. And here I am using single TF - tick charts... talk about being with the wrong crowd This was back in 2010, but fortunately, Linda Raschke let one cat out of the bag in 2013 (maybe because she saw...Ignored
Disliked{quote} i started trading a year ago too. i am a newbie as you are. this forum is full of gems (with the exception of intraday trading section) Read highly rated threads in Trading discussions section, especially threads with less discussions about indicators. Skip anything related to indicators, do yourself a favor. No one can help you but yourself. No one can teach you if you have no wish to learn. good luck.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I will not have my career. I will just say that 12 years ago I became interested in the stock, later discovered Forex. A few months ago I decided to become a member of Forex Factory, and thus motivate self, as it had become too lonely. I read several threads, the eternal debate about goodness, or the futility of the indicators. Personally I think that there is no absolute truth. Indicators are tools. Even critics of the indicators, use them. The bars and Japanese candlesticks are indicators (a representation of the price, in space and in...Ignored
Disliked{quote} absolutely agree with your ideas and would like to thank you for your contribution. almost everybody uses indicators. there are many traders who use indicators with success. on the other side, there are traders who use just the quote panel, tick chart or only one indicator - bar/candlestick/line (or anything of this kind) with success. i am a guy who loves simplicity. if someone can trade successfully using just the bars or candles as someone who uses dozens of indicators (in a real meaning) then my side is clear. there are too many things...Ignored
Disliked{quote} in Forex, no longer trades with numbers only. What is better to travel on horseback or traveling by car? Is it better to take the body temperature with the touch of the hand, or using a thermometer? .......We go beyond the crocodiles, whose survival is recorded in their genes. We can use both with and without indicators, according to our needs or style of trading. Humans can choose. .....In short, for me there is no debate indicators vs no indicators. They are tools. If they are useful to you and you know to use them,...Ignored

DislikedGrowRevenue wrote: " "The Trend Is Your Friend?" One of the most misunderstood statements in all of trading, no doubt. Yet, you hear this statement all the time. Most importantly, you hear it and see it being misapplied by traders in all kinds of unhealthy ways. The Mythical Trend: A Translucent Unicorn What is this creature and why does it provoke so much division among traders? It has been talked about for years and people even swear by it. The Turtles claimed that they even used it to become millionaires. Market Analysts on television discuss...Ignored
DislikedIntellectual people in this thread and pretty good stuff here on ................. trading, philosophy and trading philosophy. Most has already been said, very little to add now. If I have decided to add something here is only because it is of highest quality. Many will not get it right, but whoever does will definitely appreciate what is said in this post either now or later in their trading careers. Some people trade based on technicals, some on fundamentals. The ones who trade on technical, take calculated risk based on probability of success...Ignored
