Hi Zoopots

I wish my Equity line followed my Gain Line more like yours does. Ive had 2 Global Closes, but my gain is incredible. Do you think there is something wrong with mt DAT or is it just one of those things?

I assume you're in a current sequence of trades. What is the current profit of all the Closed Deals after your second GC? Also, what is the current Open Deals Total Profit and Profit needed to CAD?

Notice how your Equity and Growth curves came together at each GC. I suspect that when your current sequence of trades realizes the next GC that the Equity/Growth lines will merge again to something more reasonable. Without seeing your Trade Client, I would guess you're in a draw down that the software will work out of and when it does Equity will "join" the Growth curve. Does that make sense? Stated another way, you have less Equity now because the current sequence of trades is using more margin during this current draw down.

Go to your Broker window and try this: (Cash +/- Floating) - Margin Reg = Avl Equity. I'll bet the Avl Equity will be close to the lower line on your posted chart.

Hi Zoo

Do you have 8 hybrid DAT?
I asked you because today I finished my 2 months with my 8 hybrid and it has been complete failure (20% DD on relatively big account for me) and I wonder why there are such big disparities between accounts.
I do not get it and back office are not bothered to reply any answers as for me it has been the worst financial decision so far.

As the company has recently updated their website, I'm not quite sure which Strategies are which compared to the originals. I am trading the "old" Strategy 5 Hybrid which was modified to trade consolidating markets as well as trending (I believe this is now named Strategy 8). Risk is moderate which means draw downs may be large at times. Just prior to my 5th Global Close on account #1, I was at 30% draw down as the software worked it's way out. The draw down was due in large part to the loss of servers at FXCM...but the software functioned well to recover. Graph of draw down is below:

Post pictures of your Open Deals and current sequence Closed Deals to give us all a look.

Support has always responded to me, albeit sometimes slow, but that may depend on what you're requesting of them. If we contact them with concern over a draw down, there's not much they can respond with. I've learned to just be patient and let things work.

With a 500 pip move long on the GBPJPY over the past 24 hours your Strategy 8 should have made a nice recovery. Post a picture of your Global Open Deals so we can see at the very bottom of the menu what the bias is for your sequence of trades.

Thank you for your answer, I cannot currently post any picture as I am on the way but this 500 pip move up wiped down my account significantly and it was the same situation as with FXCM servers more than 2 weeks ago but in the opposite direction. Anyway in both cases were was big disparity between buy and sell orders and these big moves were responsible for my big DD so that way I contacted the back office as for me it does not make any sense to see big moves only dragging my account down. I always thought that it should be good for DAT to have decent moves. Now I can only rely on the big pull back down on G/J, is it a normal situation for you?

If you can Skype let's try to screen share so I can see where your current positions and Closed Deals have you in real time. My Skype is in my profile. Maybe another set of eyes can view something to help.

you seem to be having good runs.... Well done

will be funding my broker account next week and can't wait.... Any recommendations on strageties to use... Happy to risk 30% DD on a 10k account to start with

My only guidance is to review all the Strategies posted on the 4X-DAT website and try to decide what your personal risk tolerance is.

I have been happy with Strategy 5 Hybrid (my two accounts) which I believe is being called Strategy 8 now...don't quote me on that.

Here are the returns of the various Strategies. Be aware of the number of months each has been trading as it may be an indicator of confidence level.

The Strategy 6 that is lined through was the "experimental" demo one that was margined out...I'm not sure what the current Strategy 6 represents so do your own due diligence.

All percentages were calculated on Global Closes...no Open Deals were included.

My DAT has started today on Strategy9 so will see what happens....good thing I hope!

The global close is set for $400 so it must be running on a very safe option!

on the 25th October the broker balance on dat 9 was 165278. Total I see it ar $296281 .....surely it hasn't jumped $130k in a week.... How do I trace those trades

Darren,

I only pay attention to account balances after a Global Close. Broker balances have been addressed in previous posts and we have to remember these will change during Open Deals as the software opens and closes various positions. At the time of this post, DAT9 has 44 open positions with the bias to the long side. Because of this, the account balance in the Broker menu is constantly changing...again, see previous posts.

I would recommend monitoring the Closed Deals menu with focus on the Global Closes if you want to track trades. Remember that all Closed Deals, above the latest Global Close, are Deals that will be added/subtracted from the NEXT Global Close. If you want to view the sum of these do this:

1. Left click on the first Closed Deal above the last Global Close
2. Scroll up with the elevator to the most recent Closed Deal
3. Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard
4. Left click on the most recent Closed Deal

This will then summarize all the Closed Deals highlighted in bold on your screen in the "Selected: Deals:" at the bottom of the menu.

There are now three accounts at my house using the software. My wife's account just connected yesterday on a Conservative DAT9 and had two GCs within an hour. I'll post results (if she lets me!). The weird thing is that she emailed support to load a Conservative DAT4 but we got a DAT9....go figure.

Thats great eat news she will be over the moon with that.....going to my bank meeting soon to get some funding...was it a 10k account your wife is running on dat9 zoo

Hey Darren

I noticed that also..
Joe started Dat 9 with $100,000 and then added another $100,000
for some reason and changed the harvester to show it started with $200,000.
The dat9 created $65,000 off a $100,000 beginning.
