I read your post before leaving today about 12 hours ago - I became curious as to whether your attention to this level would be justified - set a small buy limit order and arrived home to see it pretty much nailed the turn around. I had noticed that on Daily, the cloud support, on my chart an extremely thin line though, was at that level. The pair has risen to the Tenkan-sen on my H4 MT4 chart, where it appears to be hesitating.
I have had buy trades set up lower, at the 169.34 level, for a while. Your level was an experiment that worked.

Yeah....I shorted 10 micropips from 180.3 I took that one just for kicks and giggles, and now I'm kicking myself for not selling more.
*facepalm*
Edit: On a second note, I hate having to wait for a promotion before shorting the the GBP/JPY. Almost missed 172.4 mark. I expect to pocket a few dozen pips from that, considering that the major support lies around 171.7 and we're in due for a major GBP update in 5 hours. Expect prices to fluctuate (i.e. test the support once more), take a short, but leave wide margins.
God knows volatile the Geppy can be.
