with AAPL earnings out 10/20 I am looking at doing a bear call credit spread for 10/18 - I don't think AAPL will run up much over $100 pre-ER

not. Dovish Fed whacked my IWM bear put spread. But sucked some of the i.v. out of EWZ Nov calls, so my calendars are all looking better. Whacked fiber, too - glad I bailed on EUO puts days ago when it touched $1.25.

its a good thing I added a long call on aapl to make a strangle otherwise I was looking at a big loss, with a little luck I may double my money
its actually 91c . My cost for the strangle is 70c

Good timing on IWM.

I did a Iron Fly on AA for earnings... Waited for AA to reach $16 and then entered 16 short straddle with 14 and 18 wings.
All options are for this week expiry, $0.71 total credit. So lets see. The mofo was trading all day around $15.70 - right between option strikes 15.50 and 16... so I had two versions of the same trade prepared... EM is around 70 cents.

PEP has strikes on every dollar, but trades right at $93.50... skipping that.

I still have 180/183 + 202/205 SPY Nov17 Iron Condor. I got $0.97 credit for it last week. Had the opp to close today for $0.72... now it trades for $0.90.
Well, tick-tack... tick, tack...

ok I've closed the strangle on AAPL at $1.30 just shy of doubling. The cost of the strangle was 70c, what could of been a disaster turned out good

NO FILL best price I saw was 26c and QQQ retreated to 98.44

Did Ma Yellen peg the gold bottom for the year? @ GLD that was $114.42 on 10/3. Gold up 2% in the last day. Nov vertical bull put spread on GLD - might safely sell the Nov $114 put against the long Nov $110, should be worth >$0.50 today, we'll see what GLD does this morning.
