The US Dollar Is About To Inflict Carnage All Around The Planet

For the US, it’s now shooting fish in a barrel – but just for now. The three-pronged plan the Fed has started to execute is plain for everyone to see:
1) Stop QE. This hauls back in to the US dollars from around the planet, from a million parties that owe debt denominated in USD. Already happening at a frantic pace, though no-one involved would advertize it.

2) Raise the value of the greenback. This makes it that more expensive for all parties under 1) to pay off their debts. They have to offer ever more just to stand still. And when they can’t, assets will be confiscated.

3) Raise interest rates. The final blow. It will make life much harder on the US government too, but they’ll have trillions of dollars flowing in to cope with that. It’ll put millions of Americans into the equivalent of medieval torture instruments, and out of their homes and cars and jobs, but that too will be initially softened by the dollars coming home to papa. Crucial take home: they’ve given up on the US real economy, likely a long time ago.
And it will have the rest of the world begging for mercy. In that regard, it’s funny to see Britain planning to raise its rates too. Do be careful what you wish for there, lads.
The full taper of QE means everyone needs dollars, and most who do are leveraged to the hilt, while the combination of higher interest rates and higher dollar value means the buck will come much more expensive.

Thats exactly how i see it. Raising interest rates sure it will be impact on increased interest on debt have impact on loans, but with reserve currency, the currency war that is derivated from this measure is so much more powerful that other smaller macroeconomic conditions dont matter. Additionally article didnt mention what blow will raising of interest rates have on all BRICKs contries, thats even more important. It will create massive outflows from those countries making dollar even more stronger. Dollar should increase its value 20% at least towards other fiat on interest rate hikes within year or two.
As for stop of QE i dont think it will actually happen, but it could be limited due to capital inflow and other side effects of interest rate hike.

Over 150 pips worth of calls completed. Took 34 pips of it GU short+ AU long.

Bitcoin. I am still holding, dont have enough at moment to be additionally buying, but if supply is breached there could be some short term buying chance.

FF trade explorer

one of the best conta-indicators

as soon as the majority went short, the price was ripe for reversal


the shorts have now given back nearly all of their gains they got over the last many weeks - same old same old


the FF trade explorers as contra-indicator do work much better than the statistics of the brokers - has FF the dumber/novice traders?

Brokers SSI works the same (even very quallity SSI data from few website services that provide it), there is no difference their data reported works the same as FF in terms of position switching. But yeh it seems decent one to follow, when general positions are switched from long term long into short its usually sign of price reversal of down trend. As for being dumb, i wouldnt say there are dumb people trading, trading is such hard thing to master that anyone who is failing shouldnt be blamed too much as most people dont go deep enough to find the light
What we have now is very strong dollar pullback and solid EU rally, but mind important thing that EU has not yet turned bull neither has dollar turned bear. There is still 50 pips at least towards first zones to determine.

Btw please keep us updated on FF SSI, especially if there is some big spike, would be good info to have.
