Amen! I am not as rich as you are but I go all in at 1:50 leverage, the max of my broker, and if the going gets better I keep buying more with the profit. I sometimes average down and do not believe stop loss works. Stop loss and 2% rule should only apply to automated trading. Otherwise you are doing something wrong.

i ever trade 10 lots once, but then i lost $5k in ten minutes, after that i never trade over 1 lot per trade
maybe i should learn from you, dancingphil

So what factor of equity do you expose per trade/position?

I usually trade the longer trends and might only hedge when it seems like the market is simply going through a minor correction/retrace. Once the market seems to be done with that I can take the hedge off at around break-even, but if the market reverses again, I might put the same hedge back on and waited out a little more.

By the way if you use MT4 and truly use large lot orders into the dozens or hundreds, you might want to check out my order scripts that can iceberg large orders on the fly quickly at the link below...

i'm going to be honest this looks like a classic fishing exercise for saps (oops i mean clients)

i only know of one millionaire trader
and unfortunately its not me, but he genuinely has a multi million dollar yacht
and at the weekends he sails to Monaco to play the tables as hes only 50 miles or so down the coast

and guess where the money comes from?
not so much from trading, although he does sometimes trade
the majority comes from mentoring and selling his so called market expertise to saps
and as far as i know he does n't post on forums bragging as he has better things to do
(i should also have better things to do - but don't have the yacht yet)

now where can i find some saps? (opps again i mean clients)
oh yeah, here on Forex Factory

While you are entitled to this opinion, it does not mean everyone else feels the same way.

firstly to answer your question I am not a large lot trader, my long term plan has always been to keep adding zeros to my lot sizes but I never quite get there.

Here may not be the place to ask this question but I will anyway, if you choose to answer in another place or not at all I will understand.

What benefit is Hedging over closing the position out in its entirety? I mean if a position is opened at the same lot size and the opposite direction the only winner I see is the broker in commissions and spreads. I see what you say about releasing your margin but in my eyes closing out the position in its entirety would also achieve this.

Thanks for starting this thread.

I have always been interested to know who the big traders are here at FF.I am not quite at the level that I want to be but have only been trading for about 2 years and 9 months so will get there.I have been following you and a couple others that I find credible.Hope this thread will draw out more big traders

Then there is Loan
He traded $10k into $60k in 2 months going from 0.5 lots to 10 lots at the moment.I think he has deposited money into his account as his balance is now double what it was and his profit % only 100% where last week it was 600%.I have asked him what he has done and he will reply in time im sure.He is a big player Im sure.
