He refused to (privately) post continual live predictions. He didn't even reply to the person who asked, who had extensively contributed to this thread
A TE that used range bars and currency correlation that would have made forexgt arrow predictions impossible to pinpoint. The TE also went into massive DD several times. There didn't appear to be any hedging like he said there was. Originally it used a very tight BE. With a supposedly very high success rate of entries and exits, that didn't make sense

The probability of there being an algorithm that can predict each turning point is infinitesimally low

Maybe it happened because he was onto something...
certainly surprised to see gg53's membership revoked.. but i think there was always something fishy about him.. he discussed one method while his explorer traded something else altogether. first he said there was bug that caused loss. then he switched to very large stop loss (over 100 pips) and small tp (5-10 pips). so for a short period he was lucky but this strategy is bound to blow up account...

perhaps he was using his (lucky) explorer here to rope in some investors (not on ff but somewhere else). like saying look at the method i have and also see proof in the trade explorer

I don't know what happened with GG's account why is it revoked, but I can not see any post or anything which is against the rules. What I know he answered always nice and correctly and tried to help us. Regarding his algo, he posted many times live predictions also WE predicitons and all of them were spot on. So I believe in it. Therefore with some other guys wanted to start again this to get it working, but now it looks like can not ask GG anymore. If there are more people who wants to continue to develop the algo, please post or write to the admins to find out what is happened and re-instate the forum.

FYI: I've just chatted with gg53 about his membership being revoked.

This is what he said, "I don't know... No explanations and no response for queries... mystery"?

It's really weird, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that would really like to see his participation at FF again?

I just joined FF to participate after long time watching this from outside. It's a shame to see almost 900 posts go down the drain with no apparent reason
Why don't you just send G your code? He promised to me multiple times that he would review the code that someone passed onto me, but EVERY time I followed up (over a very long period of time for this type of thing) all he did was reiterate his promise and that he's been too busy with urgent matters (but not too busy to answer everyone's questions to keep people interested in developing the algo for him!), and that he hadn't changed his mind. In the end I suggested sending me the ex4 file or changing the code directly as that would be quicker and a lot easier than reviewing it in non-code speak. He didn't reply. Didn't even come to ff. A few days later his membership was revoked.

I have found that good programmers who don't take reputation into account can see that the algo's description is lacking in detail and that there is insufficient evidence for its accuracy and consistency. They won't even bother with it. Sufficient proof would have been continual, consecutive live predictions (cherry picked predictions are NOT proof in this case. Far from it!), but he didn't have to do that because everyone believed in his reputation.... I don't believe posters need to prove their indicators if they post it here, but in this case there was no indicator to test. You had to develop yourself. There was just an extraordinary claim and poor explanations. I'm now going to say that the more fantastic the claim, the higher the requirement for proof (assuming I can't do the testing myself). Reputation means almost nothing now. Appearing helpful and polite means little. Being nice and polite allows con-artists to get away with a lot more deception than normal.

He said he went straight to mq4 after matlab (which contradicted his saying that he went to c#). So try sending him your code to see what happens. I bet you will be disappointed. He is still free to uphold his promise to me.

Initial thread - EURUSDD's Ultimate truth thread; GG53 took the idea and created a algorithm which then over the next 6 months was slowly explained but ONLY via questions
- this brings the most annoying point up... GG53 could have just laid out the road rather than people having to slowly squeeze it out of him

on the bright side - i'm thankful that GG53 took the time to reply to EVERYONE!

on a more annoying side, the revelation of him using ATR was rather new.... how come this took 1 year to come around?

I would say he was trying to get others to finish the algo for him. Again, I suggest sending him your code for review and see what happens.

Algo that predict future.. if such thing exists gg53 or other 'mysterious two developers' using simple compounding factor could drain half money from FX within one month. GG put this TE with something different, using couple pairs/ currency strength indis/ huge SL and small TP (why he did that?! he could just put his algo on one pair and make 1000%), if something went wrong he could say that it was a bug.
Completly agree with Stinky, when you don't know what this was about, then the answer is simple: money. You wouldn't belive how many people with money (big money) are silently reading in the background, selling algo/luring investors/being FX guru etc etc.
I'm just shocked people still belive it exist at all.

I like to believe that not everyone who gives advice are scammers... it may be fruitful thinking - but it's something that i hope is true (probably not)

after spending a few weeks on this recently; i got stuck, and since then have slightly lost interest - but will give the ATR thing a try when i get a chance (thanks emonts!)

even if this thread is BS; i actually enjoyed the whole "journey" this thread bought and it gave me a good insight into probability and coding ... so BS or not, the thread still helped me
