Looking for Stop Order EA/script

Say price is currently at 1.0. I wish to place a sell stop at 1.1 when price reaches 1.2 with SL and TP. If an EA, a BE function would be helpful as I can't attach my normal BE EA as well. Can someone help please or point me to the right place?

Hi,

It is impossible to set a sell stop above current price. Did you mean a sell limit ? Indeed, you would need an Expert Advisor if you desire a break even function. There are plenty of EAs here on the forums that have break even functions; just use the search up top.

Regarding your script on setting a pending order, as I understand, you want to drag the script to the chart and have in the parameters the option for a buy stop, sell stop, buy limit or sell limit ? And the option of how many pips away to set it from current price? And the option of how many pips the stop loss and take profit will be set from the pending order open price?

No, I mean sell stop. I'm looking for something that would trigger a pending stop order once a certain price is reached.

Hi jen101,

It is complex to understand you because you are not being specific. You can create a pending order by right-clicking on the chart, and selecting "Trading", then "New Order". In "Type", choose "Pending Order". There, you will have the options.

Anyone who is familiar with trading PA or for that matter, possessing a reasonable IQ, would appreciate why a stop order would be preferable to a limit order. Clearly you fall into neither of those categories, nor it seems that you are able to offer anything constructive, so may I kindly request that you go elsewhere to offer your lessons in using MT4.

frankly, I believe coffee.lover wanting to help you...
say you want to buy, and want a pending order above the current price...you must use buy stop. you can use limit buy under the current price only.
same goes the opposite way, to sell bellow the current price, you need sell stop...you can sell only above the current price with limit sell.

for this very matter, it makes a difference if you want something to place it is limit or stop order.
there is always, always another trade!!

I see you updated your post #1 today, and after reading it again, it now makes sense as it is now written clearly. You could have just edited it and notified me that you edited it instead of writing your rude post.

Inserted Code
-LotSize
-True/false Use_BuyStop and true/false Use_SellStop (one must be true and other must be false)
-ActivateWhen (when price reaches this price, it will set the pending order)
-SetWhere (the price where the pending order will be set)
-MagicNumber
-StopLoss
-TakeProfit
-BreakevenAtPipsProfit (when trade is this much profit in pips, stop loss is moved to breakeven)

Apologies for my rudeness. Patience is not something I have much of. I'm harmless really . I did not update my first post yesterday; I thought it was perfectly clear. Well, I am amazed you still wanted to help. I had searched high and low on google and came up with nothing so thought about commissioning it.

To clarify, if I set a limit order, say a sell. Price goes up and hits it, trade triggered. Price carries on up and comes across stop loss. Oh dear. I trade reversals. I like to grab the middle bit after price has reversed because often the start and end of a move are choppy. The difference between using a limit order and stop order is as big as not being profitable to being profitable. I have been using price alerts on mt4 to help me, but often I miss the boat, hence this request.

Thank you enormously. Sometimes you get hugely surprised. This is one of those times.

I dont know if you are still following this thred but I am interested in your little ea. Can it keep trading or what?

I need an EA that open stop and limit orders without caring whether they reached profit or not. Only if the trade get closed from either the trader or another ea, it have to reopen it if the price come back to the same place where it orginally got opened.

I hope this is possible with some little modification?
