Hi Alorente,

Appreciate the warning but, I'm short from 0.92337. Just banked 50% at 0.91355 and will reload on a successful test of 0.91611 to 0.91810.

My charts above show the short and explain why. I agree about the daily AND weekly neckline as shown on my charts. But more than the neckline, the break of the range base was telling. Falling from this long term range was all but a sure thing on recent PA.

I was asking pips777 if he/she was building longs. Seemed .... dangerous to me at those levels which is why I posted the charts.

Hello Dave.

There is a great chance of a turn around at the top side of the weekly rising wedge around 107 to 107.30. Notice also the major divergences showing in the TSI at bottom.

After that, if wedge is broken on downside, target is around 88, which would be a 0.618 retracement of the entire move up. We will know in the next few days.

I got out because with Feds 17th meeting coming up I have no idea what Yellen might say.Good chance she will be bullish confirm QE end in Octumber which will accelirate UJ upthrust to 108 and then we might have some correction.
Yen is basically managed currency by BOJ hence they have the resources to blast this crap up against any technical factor.
Its basically trading up on fundamentals anticipating slowing Japan economy which is already taking place and US interest rate looming in 2015 spring..
In light of these fundemetal factors I'll skip trading Yen all together.

What is more interesting that Aussie despite of progressive green numbers is getting killed.That to me is raising eye brows

I’ve been suffering myself on just about everything I touch at the moment. Although I’m still in UJ and just added for the last throw of the dice at 6095/1.618. Will give it just a little room before accepting the loss.

There seems to be a sort recalibration of the forex landscape going on. It reminds me of the film a Inception where cities would crumble and be re-formed. In this environment my skills are proving useless. I run with my swag but each old escape route has become a dead end.

But it’s swings and round-a-abouts. My time will come again. Maybe today or tomorrow. Mark Douglas says that when you have a run of losers it’s amazing how often it’s followed by a long run of winners to somehow keep the win/loss ratio where it should be. I’ve noticed it too but of course you have to take the trades for it to work.

My mistake was hanging on to UJ way too long.That's just inexcusable.
I think waiting until after Sept 17th is wise. I get the feeling that Yellen might get dovish because USD got too strong way too fast rattling markets from stocks ,gold,oil.
Anyway life goes on and its all learning lessons.

same here davit! had a nice 4 figure DD on YEN, already cut some positions, when looking back we see often such movements on Yen, they get corrected to 0.61 to 0.76 most of the time. So als long as the weekly wedge hold (hopefully thats not a continuation one)... i´ll add until the acending line is broken and retested from above!

prefered scenario for me (09.10 was fullmoon) is the start of a proper retracement in this weeks i keep an eye on friday

I don´t worry about what the trigger would be. Yellen, Geopolitical crisis, earthquake, whatever. The story is contained in the chart. That rising weekly wedge is very important as well as the TSI divergence. Also, the Green Weekly TMA is way above the Brown Monthly TMA. The weekly will have to make its way back to the other side of the monthly. That´s the way TMA´s move, from side to side of the larger TMA.

The AudUsd is another example of fundamentals giving way to the technicals on the chart. All the Aussie numbers are green, very strong and yet, the H and S pattern has broken the neckline and AU continues to fall as the chart indicates it should.

Rejections at wave mid-line on ECad and CadChf are also rejections at 161.8 extension of AB and wpr around 50. However, Cad news in 1 hour.

Yes it is streched and we might have to pay attention on that fact. BUT: the markets may BO and run further and further to the previous lows again ... who knows ?
