The troops are massed at the border. That's how I feel when I see all the candles lined up at a certain resistance level. Bulls vs the bears...each one waiting for the other to just flinch.

So I placed an order because either this turns into a nice continuation of last nights breakout or it is a simple bottle rocket and the fireworks were nice. And it can go either way as the MFI agrees.

I will be quick to pull the trigger on an emergency bailout in the event the bears take over.

About to get stopped out.

I was trying to see if the run was gonna continue...stopped out now. Probably reverse in 10 min just to laugh at me.

Anyway, sometimes when you have a specific technique you are using you think you can drill down to a lower timeframe for your entry and that's what I was doing. Didn't work for now, possibly later tonight because the 4 hr chart is showing a very aggressive BUY signal.

Just looked at the chart...hit the Pivot Point and is reversing...and there's the moment.

Nice analysis dude.

Based on what I see definitely go long. Target price will between 172.750 and 173.300...so yeah, it could hit the 173.000.

I realize what I'm about to show won't be a popular chart but overbought/oversold conditions combined with defined momentum equals information. Information helps us make decisions.

I've added modified Fibonacci levels to establish projected resistance levels/target prices.

GBPJPY is poised to appreciate nicely this week.


1. Friday's candle was a nice hammer with the bulls seizing the second half of the day and probably ending the bears current momentum.

2. Established diagonal trend line hit

3. Stochastics (5,2,2) in oversold condition while Stochastics (20,10,20) is in incline mode.

Oh and there's always this thought.

If I am giving all the overwhelming reasons why this currency will go up this week, everyone should be ready to place your short positions. Why? Heck, I don't know. It just happens so watch your short range charts for the clues.

Hilarious!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had no idea the Scots were contemplating leaving the "United Kingdom". Some poll comes out and the pound tanks.

I wish I had put in the price I thought it would drop to if it were to drop (169.835 which was the -34% Fib level). Well, I suspect there will be short term skepticism in the market but then a rush of buyers by Weds at the latest.

If it continues to tank, expect price near 168.200 (or the newly adjusted -34% Fib level). Oddly enough, that price level is another support level from the week of March 19, 2014.

This crap is both fun and frustrating but you know what they say, if it was easy everybody would be doing it.

Yeah this week open with a drop in GBP was mostly due to this piece news happened over the last week. Vote result would come on 9/18 and GBP rate decision one day ahead of the vote result would probably put on hold.

No I haven't stopped trading. Can you ever really stop once the Forex injects its addictive drug in you? I just keep forgetting about this account to demo trade on.

Anyhoo, time to load up on GBPJPY! It has already closed the gap AND crossed the Daily diagonal trend line so this rally is under way. However, and this is my opinion, we are still in an oversold condition. This is key because it means even the cautious trader isn't too late.

Because of that whole Scotland issue I will be trading with stops. Meanwhile, I will be buying the little pullbacks and there will be pullbacks because fear is present since that gap down.

Hope everyone has gotten on this freight train. Looks like she's easily heading to 173.024 (80% level). The question though is will she go to 175.500 (near the 134% level)?

I am currently experimenting with a trading style where someone can turn their life around in 90 days, a complete financial reversal. In the last 24 hrs I did 7 trades (5 good and 2 bad). 5 long trades and 2 short trades for a total of 77 pips. The 2 bad trades were when the market was cresting and momentum was getting ready to make a change and for the first time I could actually FEEL it getting ready to happen. I made those trades anyway (one long and one short).

I'm using the 5 minute timeframe so some may find it of interest. Obviously, I have to get some of the kinks out like not bothering to trade during the Asian session (as one example).

Have a good day, tonight should be a roller coaster as buying pressure fades in and out.

USDJPY...


If you're looking for a nice short that's coming our way you might want to look at the Daily chart for USDJPY. Pullback or extended stay, I don't know.

Plenty of support to drop down to before monster long.

GBPJPY...ain't a classic triple top but it is one nonetheless on the Daily chart.
