65% return in a month any trader or hedge fund give me a shot?

Hi everyone,

Thanks for reading my thread. So I'm going to try to keep it simple...

I work in IT and have done all my life and became interested in trading when I worked in Monaco gaining exposure to fund which had a NAV of several billion dollars under management and got some very interesting insights into some unique concepts and ideas. That was about 12 years ago, tens of thousands of hours and a lot of blood sweat and tears later I recently have devised some systems which I think could offer very attractive returns. I am really passionate about trading as it allows me to combine my data mining/problem solving abilities with IT and the markets.

So I have two trade explorers which I hope are linked with this thread, if not you can see them under my username they have achieved around 45% and 65% in closed profit respectively for this month. I understand that a months worth of results is not enough but if anyone would like to contact me to get in early in this opportunity it would be great to send me a personal message as the more months of successful results I get the more interest I anticipate.

I would love someone to have some confidence and take a calculated risk on me and enable me to earn a living doing my passion - trading which I think could be a very worthwhile investment. Obviously return is linked to investment so if I only have $1000 to trade a 65% return isn't life changing, however for a fund who will be able to invest more than especially if compounded I believe something amazing could be achieved.

I also have results from some quite complex data mining I have done which achieves around 600 SPY points in about 3 years with a really smooth equity curve. I believe the kind of data mining involved is very unique and could be applied to other markets also.

Just some of my personal opinions.

I have/am invested in several trading programs over the last 8 years. The first & most important thing I look at is maximum drawdown. If the drawdown is too large, I won't even consider investing regardless of how good the performance is. I've talked with several introducing brokers over the years & the first thing an institutional investor wants to know before investing any serious money is "how much can I lose?" & not "how much can I make?". I look at investments the same way.

Looking at your open positions I can see that you do some type of hedging. Other than that, I'd need to know how you control your risk. Do you use stop losses? What is size of win compared to size of loss?

You're right too about the length of your trading performance. Any serious investor will want a much longer track record. For now you might get small amounts from individual investors like myself but I doubt anyone will invest a larger sum of money with a 1 month track record.

Nice performance though for the 1 month.


****My correction: I can see some of the result information on the TE that I wasn't aware of. There's so many trades though that it will take me a while to analyze to get a feel for the risk.

Nice performance but it doesn't mean nothing on demo. You should link the same kind of results from LIVE accounts.

BTW, you should move the thread in the commercial section as that's the purpose of your posting.

Sorry mate, no offence intended, but you simply cannot be given credibility for your portfolio growth methods (if you can indeed call it that).


Try half that gain, live and over min 12 months.

Thanks for your interest SRT, I have replied to your PM - and for the benefit of everyone else:

1) Stop Losses - as hedging is used stop losses are not placed, but I will be trialing a version with stops however I anticipate this will not have quite the same level of success, hedging really mitigates the need for this.

2) Drawdown - this is a tricky one to answer in terms of just giving a % figure for several reasons 1) These accounts were designed to test the robustness of the system so are rather high risk settings 2) Do you measure drawdown from peak to valley or dip below initial equity? 3) These systems have experienced between 30-45% drawdown which is large but a) risk is set higher than usual b) this is misleading as lot sizes are increased meaning drawdown wouldn't be this high really below initial equity.

One way I would propose to handle risk is withdraw 50% when account doubled essentially you are then trading risk free, this could be done with running an account which compounds at the same time. One of these TE's is showing almost 100% profit in less than a month already.

Oh it is serious, and don't underestimate over 12 years of non stop blood and tears research into this, it didn't come overnight but I understand your skepticism anyway I don't take any offence as I already have received a few PM's about investment opportunities. I know it will carry more weight with longer term results and on a live account but wanted to see if there were any takers before then as at that stage it will be easy for me to find investment, moreover I probably won't need it.

Thanks FerruFx, you've made some good contributions to this forum. OF course I know a live account and longer results are required but wanted to see if there are any early comers with some faith.
