pls not diseminate inaccurate info.

To set up shop,
1. need cap. ( sunken cap, operating cap, risk cap, cap reserves.)
2. need qualified peeps, and i don't mean those with paper only. In toilet also have.
3. need critical and supporting infrastructure.
4. need regulatory regulating and audits.

Are you white label broking?
white label is not broking is barnicling. is big difference.

peeps deal forex is called dealers, so is peeps sell used cars.
They not the same.
also much difference between MDs , one is managing directors, other is mad dogs.

sorry, my answer was just from my own personal experiences so far. there are also stories of the oil tycoon who threw lots of money to start a brokerage and yet failed..
my question from the beginning was how do I get a shop started using the lowest costs, and yet still get good spreads for myself and cust.. to keep things manageable.

1, i have some capital but not much. cap needed does depend on if broker is Dealing Desk or STP, or hybrid.
2, i'm a one man team, taking licensing exams to look more legit on paper even though it is not required.
3, TAF is a moral, ethical backbone.. if i fail then I am to blame, but if I succeed i will thank everyone..
4, i am starting off non regulated, and then move into a more regulated jurisdiction.

Yes, but I will be white labelling with a Prime Broker and not with a broker.

nothing wrong with startups and incubators.
every business started from ground up.

Just trying give you a checklist of basics required.
step by step is ok. just no keep head down and be myopic.
need zoom up see big picture then come back navigate path hor.
Remember every business has risks, even sell peanuts.

Like i said i wish you good fortune.
Just be able segregate life from dreams.
they may meet somewhere along the journey.
Just don't mistaken one for the other.
And don't spend all your money in 1 drink hole.

but be careful of using some of the methods unless you fully understand the method properly, as in the catch in the method, for example wd gann's section.
not saying he is a fake, but i believe his true methods are hidden from the public, or that he already understood trading early on, the rest of the works later on is just dependent on his own understanding of the market's mechanics, and your interpretation may not be the same as his interpretation, because you see only the result, not the process and the groundwork. also notice that the first book that wd gann wrote is truth of the stock tape, compare that with the subsequent books, then compare with jesse livermore's book, then compare with richard wyckoff's books, then it would suggest that the basic market structure knowledge and tape reading skills they have made them money, or their other method they used may or may not works, but we have a lack of evidence or a p&l to suggest it actually works or not, so the confusing thing here is, is it their tape reading skills that made them money? or their further on analysis which they diverged from each other's style on their own that made them money?

my guess is that wd gann is still using tape reading and his understanding of the markets, also look at his swing charts, it shows the short term, mid term and long term trends, but hides the noise from him so he stays true to the trend until it hits his stop loss, where it tells him the trend is changing against his original analysis and that he is wrong. the further on work may not actually be useful, but he still profits, perhaps because of his previous experience in tape reading, so who knows, maybe he loves playing he hide the answer and you seek the answer, and it becomes a if you can spot the stuff that he puts in that does not work, then you would know the difference between the stuff that works and the stuff that doesn't, and that means you are ready for the next level.

however, the other methods by other people are interesting and could yield more insight into how the market works.
