Guys do you use 5pip SL when your TP is 5pip also? Or 10pips, or no SL?

As far as my experience, use 10Pips SL FIXED, and 5-7pips TP Fixed

Hi Friends/Traders

Indeed this is a good week, Also thanks for everyones contribution.
I must say 5-7Pips is a hight probability target since there are times the gas runs out 2-3 Pip before TP's.

More Trades to come, we just wait for them to set-up

{quote} Willy, sorry for late reply. As mentioned earlier, I am using the entry techniques for long term position building. The money management is the courtesy of FTI (another amazing trader). He never gave more detail but he sure narrated it in one of his posts. Its called fibo money management. position 1 - 1X lots position 2 - 1X lots position 3 - 2X lots position 4 - 4X lots position 5 - 8X lots position 6 - 16X lots if you see above each position is sum of all previous positions. example position 3 = position 2 + position 1. the challenge...

I appreciate your insights. Indeed like a moving average and does not Lag. With regards to MM, i prefer now to keep simple and accept a loss. Its a bit hard for me to add more than 1 position on a losing trade, i cant stomach it.

But certainly others can do your suggestion if it better suites their strategy.

Hey all, I just started looking at this system and I'm using demo for it first. It just so happens that when I started it on Friday there was a loss for EURUSD/GBPUSD, profit on USDCHF, no trade for AUDUSD.

I did some backtesting and the Tues-Thurs ones would have given profit. Just bad luck I guess

Thanks for backtesting, did you use TP 5 and SL 10 ?

And do you mean there were only losses on Friday ?

Thanks !

I've been staying away from E/U and G/U as these seem to both be very oversold. I also stay away from set-ups where conditions would require me to set a buy limit in the .xx95 region or a sell limit in the .xx05 region.

I think part of what determines your success with this (or any other system) is your willingness to take your foot off the gas when conditions aren't ideal.

The closeness with the psychological level limit was the reason why I did not bother with the USD/JPY long scalp on Friday.

Care to share the indicators that you use to determine whether the pairs are oversold or undersold?
