Maybe someone can help me better understand rescue + martingale + fib progression

fti says if you use 1,2,3 progression then rescue is 18, 50 , 150 - I do not understand how 18, 50, 150 is calculated?

On what page is that...as I understood you would use the fibonacci progression in adding to a winning position....I am using 0.5, 0.5, 1 for my capital...don't over leverage yourself.....

In rescue as I understood try to calculate at what price (it doesn't have to an exact price, but you better be close ) the PA would make a small pause and then calculate a 5 pip pullback in your favour and how much lots would you need for that pullback to make it successful....

5 pip pull back? Where u learn that from? So rigid? Who taught you that? Don't say fti taught you that.

hi Alex, would like to add on, study the wilder's table. If u do a modeling of the rescue mathematics from scratch. You should come back to te same thing

Here's the calculation- fti's age(bank exp-1)/2= his chosen fib progression for rescues; for attack flip the equation to be the polar opposite.
Eh, fti doesn't calculate much except risk, so he just moves along with PA. His intuition is prime.
he can go wherever he'd like; shoot a 1, mistimes move maybe shoot a 3 , 2, 5, 20 depending on what he sees in PA. Be comfortable with what you choose to manage.The main thing throughout this thread is not to be rigid, and ya'll are asking fti for his skew's format reasoning, as if he had an excel spread sheet opened up with a magic formula while he trades hahahaha What happens if PA moves 1,000 pips against your 1(suppose rescue is rigidly set '1,2,3' ), are you going to use a 2 for order's sake to rescue in the abnormal scenario? How many pips do you guys think it'll take to B/E? P/A moves so damn fast, it renders math useless(at least for my brain)You guys ever try to calculate a wave while surfing? Most of my surfer friends, they suck so bad at math, but can manage to go with the flow. Waves are shapeless. Only leaves room for intuition and the ability to adapt instantaneously-- and that only comes from experience. If you guys want to be remotely close to fti's level leave the calculators somewhere away from you, very far away.

I use that 5 pip pullback system.don'tchu worry about what Jacque says. He's dumb as hell & mad at the fact fti didn't love him enough to exclusively pm him about such a system.Actually main driving component to all my trades.

I do understand the table (all in %) - and I am not gonna be rigid in rescue when I practise it as that will help me better understand what is required.

I just did not understand fti's 123 progression application re rescue - I understand martingale approach easier.

I was just trying to understand what was written...... and did not get that one - got prior based on martingale

I was working on 5-8 pip range that Leigh mentioned....

Not sure how you know where it will PB in reality as price can do what it wants: I am guessing

swings

sweep zones

after big moves

supp/res areas

candle patterns

yeh - I have seen lots of talk of spreadsheets but I did not think that was necessary - got bit worried about those and who would have the time...and spread comes into it - I thought rescue would be better to man manage anyway cannot see how else in short time scope

I was just trying to understand what fti posted... Please do not assume we are being rigid when asking questions. But it is good that you keep reminding me - keep me building good foundation.

exposed base = 1+2+3=6

to be frank with you, this portion that you are bring up, i am also slightly confused as an attack should be at least reverse fibo
so i am not sure wheather the 1,2,3 mentioned is an attack or not. and since jest did bring up 1,2,3 as an attack, i suspect that fti's reply is in response to that kind of attack which is not recommended.

but in any case, understand the qualitative concept first and test it out on the mkt, you should be able to find what works for you.

not sure what that is, spend more time on the wilder's table. try to model the rescue mathematics from scratch assuming you have no knowledge of the wilder's table, it may help you understand clearer. and like what swis has mentioned, eventually when one is on live money in the market, one has no time to calculate the maths. the table and modelling is to help you understand ballpark numbers and the concept so that you may act quickly and confidently. and like what fti has mentioned, all you need is to sight the range and you will be able to come up with the estimate within small margin of error.

i am good too currently working on a new endeavor and hopefully it converges to fx trading at the end else i will have to look for alternatives to lead me there

5-8 pip range? oh, you guise talking about the 5 pip pullback system? Finally at my level I see... just jesting:
I thought fti mentioned the usual range of his trades were 3-7 candles. That's roughly the same # in the scenarios I get in my trades, if they're any good that is. Please don't be rigid and count 3-7 candles to make plays. PA shapes up differently, so watch it. Just keep playing with the market, & you'll eventually be guided to think when to make plays & when to sit out unless you use kamikaze scouts(gamble). Fti mentions it all over the thread and gets into detail with the patterns and the battlefield terrain. I'm pretty sure a 5 pip range constitutes 'adding to a losing position'(more spread, & chance of being caught in an unstoppable current still), but I have 0 experience with TFs that are not the 5min one, so don't take my word for it.
Don't get confused with the noise of the market, it is actually a lot more linear--to the brain-- than one would initially think. But you'll get to that point of realization hopefully.
