re: FOMC: I expect nothing new. But now, no news is bad news, because that's uncertainty. And if there is news, it could only be relative to a more hawkish stance on ir's. So, no news is bad news, as is new news. So we drop. We'll see in 10 minutes....

I remember when gold was at 1900+ highs, all those articles like "5 Reasons Why Gold Should Be 5,000" ....
Seems to me that market is searching for a reason to drop, but it cant find one good enough. At the same time there is a lack of will to push trough 2,000 for SnP or 4,000 for Nasdaq100. Summer volume is always lighter, but this time its 20% below average (according to Bloomberg). I don't want to spend entire summer in a range... please Wall Street thieves, do something . Could use a correction, and my birthday is really, really close... Please?
But super grandma yet again delivers milk & cookies.

If we do have a one day siGnificant drop it could be tomorrow as its the last day of the month as new trading areas will be calculated for AUGUST/SEPTEMBER

Well, if a 4% print for the GDP can't make it happen (ie, push the indices up), what would? I see a top here in SnP 1,950-2,000. I could be wrong, but even if I am, I like selling index calls: whatever moves up we put in from here are likely to be a grind, until we see a healthy correction.

CLOSED THE LONG EURO at 1.3389 for+12, and opened a short on euro at 1.388 with a s/l at 1.3402. If euro closed below 134.70 then the gates to hell are open imo

YELP bearish call spread 77/78 for this week expiry, its about $0.40 credit now.

I like dough. I'll be watching Yelp and might fade a spike up post ER.

Somebody made some bank on YPF today, which was all about the Argentina default....options volume was way up, i am thinking about doing a Sep bear call spread, but I will prolly wait to see if it can make another push up tomorrow, after the default-averting deal is done.
