BW MFI - Do you find it useful at all? How does it help you?

The idea is good but the implementation is very bad.
The price action cannot be constrained to a time frame. For instance, a 15 minute bar that is a "Fade" has no value and means nothing in itself. The market does not "think" in terms of time frames. Just remove the time frame but keep the theory and you have something...

And what is BW MFI if I may ask?
I'm thinking MFI is Market facilitation Index (?) but the BW?

BW stands for BILL WILLIAMS.

I used to use it back in the day. Mingary is right.

The only actionable bar was a squat bar anyways, and you can see those if you look for small bars with high tick volume.

Bill Williams no longer uses the MFI so that should tell you all you need to know.

You will see a spike that stands out, nothing objective. MFI tried to quantify that and that is where they ran into trouble. Are you reading Bill Williams very first book or are you just learning your way around mt4?
