how about the previous candle GJ short 172.900 , price touched the level around 12:16 est and then went up...did you or anyone take the trade ?

edit: also ,even 1 hour before, at 11:15, the price touched .800 and went up... both trades were by rules, how come nobody took them ?

I think the rules are an invaluable policy for a system. And I think that Udine has given us a vein of gold. However there is something called Price Action (candles, waves, shapes, patterns, etc. ..), and also there is something called experience.
Price action and experience should be added to any rule.
So the corrective wave that was forming was not conclusive in my experience, so I decided not to, still, the pending order.
In addition, the London session was closed around the .800 level, then it was not good to take that trade either.
Conclusion: study Babypips or similar. And then use the system as a trigger, and also to manage your trades.

May I add my 'being clever retrospective' H1 based analysis, cos I also went wondering what could have prevented me from taking this if had been watching: the previous H1 candle was green, more than 15 pips in total, had a loooong lower wick, and it closed quite high, prompting there's still much momentum upward making it riskier to speculate the downside from .900 right in the following hour.
