Went a very small long and with no SL and TP @ 1.95, if the trend line gets crossed I'll take the loss because the swap is huge here...
In any case I believe that it might hold and we will see some up move in the next hours.

I am currently flat after closing my short, situation is totally unclear to me. Would wait for NZD/USD move to top out - could take a while though.

There is no edge on this trade - both central banks are/ will be raising rates - both currencies are bullish- they cancel each other out
the only way to play this pair currently is on a short term basis with trading around economic data for NZD & GBP

Your focus should be shifted towards Cad - there is some potential big moves with this pair - Forex is all about the central banks and economic data

gbpcad - usdcad should be on your watchlist

I agree for the current situation in GBP/NZD, it is not very interesting right now. CAD is on the cards today indeed. If the news is RED there might be a retracement in USD/CAD. I think I will just watch and wait.

Bogi, look at this chart, this is a 240 min TF, do you still think that is a channel? I see a descending triangle on a downtrend move, that means that usually the break is to the south, I also want to buy this pair so much all the way up to the resistance area or to the D extension at 1.9608 or 1.27 extension Fib level, hence this pair loves to find deeper retracements levels at 78.6 and 86%, that's where we are right now. But I don't have the confirmation yet. There is support at 1.9370 area that may hold, but until the channel doesn't break, I'm outside of this pair.

Now the daily TF gives some hope, the last candle bouced off support and off the upward trendline, giving a sign that it wants to go up. Now I think there is no wrong or right until we get the confirmation we need to buy or sell this pair.

Your tirangel is rigt but i took a look on my charts and i can draw it .I noiced that i have different cabdles that yours .Take a look on my H4 that i shared.

Ok you can be right, a channel is possible there as I did now, I see that if this happens, it can be a fake out, bounce off support and go up, or break out the support, test and fall, I still prefer the buy because the Daily TF is showing 200 pips of consolidation range at sup and res on the black lines, and we are approaching support now, a good chance for a buying opportunity, but let's wait patiently and see how it goes.

One good buy spot is 1,9350.This is a strong H4 support that price bounced three times in hictory.

True, it has been an area of interest a couple of times. However, it has already been broken a couple of times and the price came back. We have been in a range for a long time now. Could be worth a try to buy at 1,9350, but I would not be very generous with my stop.

Btw, nice to have other people here now who also want to extract value from this pair with its violent moves.

Yes it realy is.Thread was dead for some time.If you look on price sideways movement back to 18-3-2014 on daily charts you will see the next support at 1,9250.My view is that i will stopped out or i will close the trade manually in loose and i will stay out till i see a better PA or setup.

I'm kinda waiting for NZD's current indecision as reflected in NZD/USD to resolve before looking at this pair again. The swap sucks at you on the short NZD side, so I'd prefer a GBP/NZD short over a long, but I may be waiting a while for that kinda set-up (like from 1.96) to repeat itself.

An awesome short from 1.9650 to 1.9450 last week if you managed to catch a piece of it.
Fireworks are fun ... as long as you don't blow your fingers off.
