dan, its not so easy backtesting in a common way...
u have to include news event, day time, correlations, "at what stage is the trend", etc...
the best is just to start trading it with microlots or demo.

At what point did I say I dont think you can make money with this R:R ? But it HAS to be high'ish for it to work.

Backtesting may help build confidence.

I have backtested this for many months back because Volatility was different.
This thread has only been going since mid June when volatility was low.

Are the parameters set forth robust enough for when the market changes?

With some tweaks and some discretion 87-91%
since Jan 2014, depending on the pair

nitecop .... yes I set hard pending entryand TP ... I dont set physical stop loss while I watch (paranoid about churning ) but have a stop in mind ... so shor answer ... no entry unless TP set , even if I alter partial contract TP the initial position is set in stone .. BE AWARE aussie SPI is unlike other instruments ... cheers Q

depends purely on instrument xauusd o/nite set profit stop and leave running .. I dont leave spi or others without profit stop or closing .. dont use TS while watching ,,, volatility takes u out everytime JUST imo ... I love to set "profit stop " just ITM and leave to to the trend .
