Entered a new position on FB, bullish put spread 62.5 / 63.5 for Aug08 expiration. Sold it for $0.31.

Also trying to make and Iron Condor on TSLA, 175/180 puts + 300/305 calls on Aug15 expiration.
Hope is dangerous in this game.

Stawks will probably jet up on a gargantuan NFP. Throw a dart...

Couple spreads I am in: IWM spread is on the second short leg - 1st netted $0.08, so if the markets turn down I will break even m/l on the second short ($0.22) leg. I will likely close it for b/e or small loss tomorrow and let the calls advance, we'll see.

The GLD spread has started to work against me, but we'll see how leggy the gold rally is - the short week will help me there if gold simmers down.

I did the virtual trade on CBOT too, it was nice to have a practice before real trading.

dolla drop today on TLT is a bfd, for me is nursing Oct $106 puts & been looking for dips to sell some closer puts down around that strike. I'd be escastics if I could see <$110 in the next week or so.. Exstactic.

Profits. I am in TLT Oct $106 puts, bought for $0.67 when TLT traded north of $113.5, printed $0.99/$1.07 at today's close. If TLT will show me $110 +/- (soon) I will look to sell Aug $105 puts for $0.30+ if I can. If TLT can get to $106 by early Sept my $106's will be worth about $1.75 I spec....

markets should react well to good news on Ukraine. If the NFP prints large we could see equities blow up.

Everything is UP in premarket. Thinking about long calls on IWM, since Russell now is playing catch up with SPX.

Managed to get only 4 contracts of IWM for todays expiration... Bought for 0.24 (yeah daily low baby ) .... Sold for 0.35 few minutes later. Beer money.

Daily low no more It was strike 119.5

Wow - market jumping nicely on the NFPs today! How soon before SPX hits 2000? Some 'experts' say it'll happen sooner than later and strong earnings could push it 2000+......

didn't bail on IWM 7/11 short leg, will hang on and let the long weekend theta help me, should get a b/e exit next Monday.

Remember exchanges close at 1300 NY time today. Have a good break everybody.

well I'm no exspurt but I remember saying a couple months back that the SnP could touch 2,200 this year and I could still see that happening. 2,000 < 1% away and we can see that next week. A strong Q2 earnings run could push it well above 2,050 before Labor Day. 2,200 looks like a stretch but 2,100 definitely by yearend.

Or not. Any number of factors could get in the way: usual geopolitical troubles, sovereign debt issues resurfacing (the bond vigilantes are not dead!), US midterm elections jitters, etc.

I still like index call selling but I am giving myself plenty room to work.

so the puts have to be writes, and along with the (long) calls are a gamble on a rapid increase in the WY share price, up to $38 by Jul exp....there's also the same setup for $38 Oct. The Oct $38 calls are $0.20 now.....

....right?

Finally some down momentum... Had a plan to enter AMZN and IWM weekly puts at open, and MISSED entry on both of them... cant believe it... tried strike 325 on AMZN for 0.78, ask was 0.80.... Just looked at price going away from me. It is 4.60 now.... or x 6 in just one hour.
Ups, it is 5.00 now... ups 5.50....

Entered TSLA weekly puts 205 for 0.66 when underlying was around 219

Closed that at 1.19...

Also closed with loss FB bull put spreads as it dives today. Still in positive territory hence win on TSLA was bigger than loss on FB.
What a beautifull day, I hope some of you have better trades then me. (AMZN strike 325 put - low 0.76, high 5.55 )

Hey SD - Yes, it is good to see some pullback finally! VIX is also spiking nicely. FOMC minutes tomorrow could perpetuate this further or could provide a nice push upwards again. I'm waiting to see where this moves today / tomorrow. Also, AA is starting the earning season after the bell today which may also provide some short term direction....

My only position today is that I have sold JPY.USD Sep '14 puts. There is good support at 100...

It is like last time we had small correction few months ago... its all started with internet and tech stocks... one of my favorites for short, SPLK, is down 10+% now. It has terrible options, though... so one have to trade the u/l. I think market is afraid of FOMC statement... good unemployment rate - 6.1% could be bad for market. IMO
Should pay more attention on TWTR also... nice volume on options... down so far 7.7%
