I've been keeping a close eye on this thread as an outsider. As you are trading EURJPY and GBPJPY may I suggest that you only go long on EURJPY when EURUSD and USDJPY have both closed above an 8EMA on a 1H chart and only go short when EURUSD and USDJPY have closed below their respective 8EMAs. The same applies for GBPJPY.

I have a different strategy, found on another forum, that works really well.
It revolves all around my cat and itīs called "The Eye of the Tiger".
Everytime my "indicators" give me a signal, I show the charts to my cat.
If he looks at it with interest then I get the final confirmation and I pull the trigger.
If he looks away, then I walk away no matter how good the setup looks.
Yes thatīs the discipline. And after all itīs all about the discipline you see.
Now this works 9 out of 10 times. Also the 1 time it doesnt work, I get to blame the cat, so all good !

Where can I get one? Can I just borrow yours? I'll try to trade different sessions than you so we can both use the cat... c'mon, please!

To put my post in another way, one would only go long on EURJPY when the EUR is strong and the JPY is weak and likewise for GBPJPY. You're increasing the probability of a successful trade. If one were to go long on EURJPY when both currencies were strong or weak then you'd be more likely to get chopped up.

Just saying.

Now John, I am willing to do cat sharing, but only for the Sydney/Tokyo session (thatīs when I sleep you see).
Pippy (strange name for a cat, innit) however, gets really active during those sessions.
Thereīs one thing of the utmost importance that you should know.
When showing the EJ or GJ charts, you have to hold up a piece of sashimi next to the chart.
This will considerably accelerate the decision making process resulting in the confirmation, thus having a swifter entry at the next 00 level.
Be warned, my backtests showed that using sushi will result in excessive slippage !

R U using a touch screen or just a regular laptop? What i really wanted to know is , who is actually executing the trades? You or the cat touching the screen at the right moment...

Also , how does your cat feel about you holding a mouse in your hand during the session. Doesn't it takes him out of focus from time to time?
