That's completely your decision.

NFP moves the market with intensity.

If I trade at that time (neglecting the non-trading zone for direct red news of course) I will significantly reduce my position size.

Trading the Asian and the start of the London session may prove to be the best course of action......

EDIT: as for July 4 holiday I personally may not trade it and may not touch USD pairs on that day....

I did see somewhere on the thread a trailing EA that could be adjusted so as not to interfere with other trades in effect. Can't seem to find it now tho.
Anyone have it or can direct me to post it's on?

You might need to be a little more specific.

Otherwise you could try searching through the paper clip (top right of screen):

Thanks MM. I think it was early on in the thread, I'll go back again and have a look thru the first few pages.

Some people were getting caught out when wheelbarrow (or maybe WUKAR) started trailing on trades that were separate from Udines strategy. One chap had some longer term trades that were stopped out on TS by wheelbarrow. Bit vague on it coz it was one of those things I read and then parked in the memory banks without giving a lot of thought to, figured I'd go back and look at when I needed it. Thread moves pretty quick so now she's needle in haystack material.

I use the 1 EA and 2 Udine buy and sell scripts (sometimes MT4 manual pending orders) but each to their own.

You need to test them and choose which one best suits you.

If you look at any of my screen shots you will quickly discover which one I use.

They all work equally well though and very useful.

I don't mind if a trade hits the TS....at least it may have saved me from a potential full 10 pip loss which is like having insurance against loss.

EDIT: its very very important that you test each of them so that you know exactly how they operate through all orders...start to finish!

Maybe you talk about swissarmyknife ea. You'll find it in a google search.

Morning all.. getting prepared to kick it off at London..

I believe read on ff calender NFP news release is moved to Thursday for this month instead of usual Friday.. am I correct?

Public Holiday (Banks USA) for some.

oh that's right 4th of July.. thanks mastermind..

I don't think the release on a different day would matter much.. but it will be tough day to trade since coinciding with eu rate change/conference, would leave a larger gap time for us to trade considering red news not trade time zone..
anyhow the FIFO family should stay out of it till all dust settles, lol
