I do have an alert/set up service and I really didn't want to promote here at this thread because I simply wanted to explain the 34EMA Wave and GRaB Candles here at FF because - frankly - it's being used more and more and (sadly) incorrectly. I wanted to have a place of discussion where traders could learn to use it correctly - as many other "traders" take it, rename it, and proceed to miss the point of market trends

But it seems this thread is now relegated to the Commercial section of FF and that's ok. I totally understand, FF is a great site and one I use daily and I want to see it remain the awesome place for ideas it is.

As for my live trades & results, you can do one of two things. Sign up for the free newsletter at http://tradeforexfutures.com/free-video-signup/ or you can trial my service for $7 http://tradeforexfutures.com/become-a-member/ Both are easy and no or low cost.

Again, I really just would like to keep this thread about my indicator because I think most people know where to find me and my services (?) Perhaps I am wrong about that?

But thank you for your question, I appreciate your asking, I have those two services in place for traders who are interested in what I do. Someone has asked about a charting example earlier if I remember correctly so I attached one of my recent "Charts 'o the Day" for you all to see the 34EMA Wave and GRaB Candles at work.

I'm a huge fan of transparency and live it however and - not to harp on it - but my TFF subscribers see my trades, wins/losses, capital...all of it...straight from my MT4 Terminal.
So I've got to subscribe before I see any results? Might be more transparent just to put a trade explorer of your account on forex factory. I will take a look anyway, thanks for your time.

I attached the indicator for MT4

It's not self-installing but you can drop it in the correct folders pretty easily.

Notes on MT4 Installation:
Please contact your broker for assistance with set up or installation of these tools.

After unzipping the files (I use WINRAR), I put the "GRaB Candles Long", "GRaB Candles Short", "GRaB Candles Range" in the "indicators" folder.

You can find this if you go into your C: drive -> Program Files -> MetaTrader (or whatever version of MT4 you are using is called) -> experts -> indicators

A common error is not unzipping the files first before putting them in the indicators folder. Also the GRaB will occasionally cause a "shadow" set of candles on the chart. It looks like another candle overlay. If those does occur, simply change the time frame of that chart to something else, let it load, and then change it back.

I recently did a special presentation on these tools and you can view the playback here. The presentation was done on the TradeStation platform but the concepts are exactly the same and the indicator does the same thing.

If you do not have either the platforms listed in this email (these are the ones I personally use) then please feel free to put the 34EMA Wave on your chart by putting three exponential moving averages (EMA) on your charts.

Each is set on the 34 period:
34 period EMA on the high in green
34 period EMA on the close in blue
34 period EMA on the low in red

The "no guts, no glory" pair, the EUR/USD, has stopped us out and left us with 3 of 5 EUR short trades: The EUR/AUD, EUR/CAD, and EUR/GBP. We are still waiting on the EUR/NZD to trigger a daily swing short. I know many of you are still wanting a piece of the EUR/USD aka the fiber and for now I want you to focus on pairs that offer an "offset" and the EUR/USD which always fires on both cylinders due to the tight, inverse correlation is not one of them. However for those of you waiting on a rollover, play this on the 60-minute time frame with a Wave Reversal entry short through 1.3670 and be sure to confirm it with the CCI.

The GBP/USD continues to climb through the non-negotiable target and this means that we Ratcheted from the POV to the B/E and not we can start to consider some Trailing Stops (T/S) based on the PMRs meaning we know not to smother a trend and give it the room it needs to move..."wiggle". The PMRs for the GBP/USD mean we need an hourly cushion of approximately 26 to 30 pips on average and 32 to 40 pips on the high end. We could consider that the price action is sufficient to back off to a 70 to 90 pips cushion. BUT we must be in a B/E scenario so our capital is not at risk! And that's the awesome place we're in with the cable.

The AUD/USD fade triggered as well and that was a "grand opening/grand closing" trade with a pretty tight stop from 0.9445 where I got in but from the range extreme at 0.9460 it was just a 10-12 pip hit. The more aggro you get on the already aggro Distribution Fades, the more potential loss. Please keep that in mind. Also the AUD/USD is flirting with a 12-2 and may end up giving its "cousin" the NZD/USD some company on our DB Watchlist.

On the other side of that same coin is the awesomeness that is the 110 pip follow-through on the EUR/AUD. Thanks to the post-RBA AUD strength. The idea with these two positions was NOT to hedge the AUD (although technically that is what happened) but rather to play the EUR short and USD long against the AUD. The nice thing was that the decision to CHOOSE one over the other was easy because the AUD/USD was a fade while the EUR/AUD was a swing trade. The swing trade wins every time in that decision to take one over the other.

So since the USD and EUR are a part of all our positions, here's the current GNS breakdown:

USD: It's not the driver of its own movement, at least not until NFP Friday. Yellen is a dove, is dovish, BUT is less dovish than before.

EUR: Recurring themes are the 1.35 handle focus, low rates persisting, "waiting for measure to kick in" and "waiting for June measures to bite". Another interesting take on EUR strength was the puts on the FXE (CurrencyShares Euro ETF) "slumped". Puts are another way to put on a short positions so that is - at least in the near term - a bullish sign or at very least just less bearish.

Oh and for my experience and budding futures traders, my Forextra markets are firing off entries: I'm long Dow*, Nikkei, Crude Oil*, and short Gold*.

Raghee Horner, you excuse my poor English. Since I read about your "Grab Candles" indicator, I continually do a question:

What advantage brings the "Grab Candle" indicator?
Visually, you can see the location of the candle with respect to "EMAs 34"
And if we remove the "EMAs 34" information (angle, width, distance from the candle ...) would be lost.

Raghee, first of all thank you for directly participating on this forum.

My understanding of the retail world of forex trading is limited (i work more on funds side in nyc). but i always wondered what is the potential for successful traders in retail world ($ wise).

So when i come across people who seem successful retail traders, i try to see how well off they are. Most of the other mentors I have come across seem to be not so well off based on the internet research i have done about them (including many names you hear a lot). Reading on your website about your story and how you got influenced by the rich diver, i wanted to ask if the path you followed took you close to that level. I mean would you say you are as successful as he was in accumulating the wealth.

In my opinion, if someone is not able to make at least 200k+ from trading, it is a waste of time for most people. They are better off pursing other career paths that will lead to that level of income in 5-10 years if they work smartly. Many people here seem to post intelligent comments and appear quite analytical. As one potential career path, I would think it is easy for these people to learn any programming language and get jobs that pay at least 70k+ at the start (and go up from there). college graduate are being hired at ~80-100k by tech companies and it is a long term career.

So I wanted to understand if your decision to go into self trading led you to better pastures. I see you are one of the more successful ones so would be really helpful what that success translates into long term wealth. I agree freedom to work as you please is a great benefit however a lot of people get into trading for both freedom and wealth.

hope to get some insight on this. If you prefer not to say, i will understand as well.

People... Don't trust anyone who wants to take $147 a month from you before you have seen full verifiable results. There are too many of these people who rely on reputation alone to take your money.

No offence Raghee but I have looked around and far from there being proof that you can do what you claim there appears to be plenty of evidence to the contrary.

Review:I was a student at Raghee's bootcamp for forex traders.
You know the sad fact is that she does have a lot of valuable information to improve your approach and preparation to trade the forex market.Her methodology permits you to have a very focused, reassuring viewpoint with which to tackle the markets everyday.
Unfortunately, the complexity involved in her" multiple evaluations strategy " used to examine all possible gateways available for considering an entry/exit etc is so time consuming that it leads you to overthink rather than simplify your rationale for a trade.
This must be the reason her managed forex fund failed .....i was informed by her inner staff not to join as it was performing miserably.
With the volatility of the forex markets......thinking and rethinking.......costs! Time demands a premium be paid at crucial points !One needs a simple "click-whirr" kind of ability/tool to make an instantaneous decision in forex at minimal emotional cost.Raghee's teachings dont provide this solution.You will therefore keep stumbling in the long run.
Now if i had to talk about her ( and stepping away from her courses), as a person...... she lacks integrity totally.She made a lot of promises that she ran away from.Responsibility for her spoken word and the promise it's expected to deliver ..... was a sham and i can prove it as per my personal experience with her at her bootcamp courses.
So my bottom line rating would be.......excellent and valuable source of forex information but proceed with caution monetarily.Dont sign a one way contract.Be absolutely sure that your contract with her stipulates that the money paid her will be 100% refunded if she fails to deliver her promise of personal one on one coaching , directly with her, via phone calls and email , as promised by her in her email ad's and orally at the initial introductory class.
SHE DID NOT KEEP THIS PROMISE TO ME AND CONSEQUENTLY I CERTAINLY FEEL SCAMMED OUT OF $5000/ FOR HER COURSE.
IT'S LIKE GETTING DELIVERED THE ENTIRE JOKE ......BUT WITH THE PUNCHLINE MISSING.YOU FEEL JUSTIFIABLY CHEATED. So buyers beware.

You're playing a different game these days, you won't get away with fobbing people off with BS.

I'll be the first to apologise if you can come up with a genuine account on a trade explorer showing balance, trades, etc or better still a verified myfxbook account but I doubt you will.

I'm not sure there is an answer because I like trading for the sake of trading, I suppose in the way a writer like to write for the sake of writing or an engineer loves what they do.

I've been at this since I was a teenager and then as a young adult I made of go of it when there was little reason to think I should or could and 25 years later, I'm still at it.

Freedom as your mentioned is huge, for me, but you're right: It can't be the sole or soul reason.

I think like an entrepreneur that opens a business, there is a change of loss but I do not find the corporate world offers the same stability it did when my father was working as an engineer. I don't know about +/- 200k as a barometer as I'm sure that sum could be less or more depending upon your needs and wants.

Long term wealth is a combination of trading (income) and investing (growth) to me.

The 34EMA Wave is designed to identify the trend. Nothing more, nothing less. What anyone does with those three EMAs after that is a matter of personal preference. I would suggest reading a little of Charles Dow's take on market trends and then apply that to the clock angles of my 34EMA Wave. After that the use should be more clear. This video may also help "Trends Explained in 11 minutes"

Being a commercial member will subject you to quite a bit of wanna-be and disgruntled traders taking a dump in your thread. If you can get past this initial onslaught of pissing dogs I am confident you will have a thread that many will value.

Sadly some demand proof of a method's potential when it is unlikely they could trade it successfully even if such performance was provided.

Yes ,i use the same thing ,but always Inside Donchian channel (Price Channel).

With my indicator you have the trend color Inside .it is more visual.
