Hello guys,

Please help me with this EA. What should I do to run this EA?

The EA shows default Entry Distance of 20 and Stop Loss of 20 but the results showed some Entries of 10 and Stop Loss of up
to 33 and these were entered into the EA.

I shall check it, perhaps it is was a slippage matter. Entry is triggered when bid reaches the entry line so for a long trade the distance to the target line is reduced by spread.

With the EA on a Demo EJ chart The Indicator Mode was set to false. It straightaway triggered a Buy order at 138.721 and then
almost immediately closed it.

The next version will open trades only after recently formed lines. Currently it open trades even for remote lines. The long entry was closed because an opposite short signal appeared. Set ExitOnOppositeSignal to false.

Two things that would be useful would be MaxEntryDistance and Buy Only and Sell Only options.

I shall add these options to the next version.

Every time someone asked for or creates an EA the thread dies ...

Anyways I like to do some research with the strategy tester and crodzilla's indicator did not handle the historic lines the way I liked them to behave. I am not sure if that problem also happened on the real chart but here is the fixed version. It works for me on the first look but I have only looked at it in the visual strategy tester so there might be bugs.

So, looking on your 4hr chart, you should get back to the marked level before the bar completely vanished from the screen. The powers-that-be, know that.

Spolx does seem to work best on M30. I am running it on demo with MinEntryDistance at 6, MaxEntryDistance at 24 and StopLoss at 15. It helps to have LineMinBars set to 1. And it looks like you are onto something there LiquidGenius. I can't quite find anything that looks the same as your indi. Care to share some thoughts on how you developed/found it?

On another note: looking back at eurusdd's original charts - does anyone know why some of the bars don't have any arrows on one end of them? I think that could be a step in trying to understand why the other arrows are there.

And has anyone else noticed that the larger whits arrows are actually drawn over the smaller yellow & orange arrows? It also appears that the small white arrows are also drawn over the yellow & orange arrows.

I guess all the yellow & orange arrows are drawn on the first pass. Then the smaller white arrows from smaller timeframes, then the larger white arrows from larger timeframes are overprinted. What is left are the arrows indicating where price should retrace to.

The indicator wasn't built in an attempt to mimic Eurusdds original charts, but after building it I noticed that it showed the same trait. The accuracy of the posted chart certainly gives off the impression that there is something to it. Obviously, the indicator looks something like a daily pivot with only 2 levels, up and down. The purpose of my indi was to hopefully mark or zone important areas. This means that perhaps even through I didn't try to recreate his indi in the same way he did, I reached a similar conclusion to his. Note that we haven't seen any of his or ODs charts in a while, so I can't confirm that we have the same marked bars.

As a brainstorming exercise, think about what 'important areas' mean. And try to think a little more than 'areas of support and resistance' that we were taught in kindergarten. Here are a few: places price WILL hit, places where price will hit and NOT return to if broken, a zone that price tends to be 'contained' within, zones marked by some other level (Yesterday H/L, weekly, monthly, etc). Visually, look at where the important points are. Anything interesting stick out about how price moves in those areas that aren't as common the middle?

Lastly, I have downloaded all of the pictures that eurusdd and OldDog posted, but I haven't given them a good through look through so I can't say much about the arrows.

Would you care to share your indi please ? Im still struggling with zz and godzillas price action, trying to make heads or tails of it all..... but not giving up

The fact that people are asking to see the indi means I might actually be getting close to being close, which is a nice feeling haha. However, this indicator is literally the first indicator that I've built(and with very little programming experience) so it is riddled with little bugs: inability to change time frame, doesn't work properly on some other charts, limited number of historical pivot lines. The bigger issue of course is that it's still a work in progress, and I do not have the "success on every chart" the way eurusdd has.

Don't aspire to be like me! Be better than that! I'm not a successful trader and am just stumbling along like a lot of other traders. I've put in about 150 hours into this project (from inception of the pivots to the creation of the indicator) and plan to put in many more.

Hi,

You can try this one.
It is a modified version of BoxBreakout Signals V3 from Swingman.
I commented out all not needed. So it's just for the idea.
This indi does far much more then visual now.
The levels are based on ATR of the last 34 bars.

Give the level parameter the value of 2 and you have Liquidgenius lines.

I know what you saying Liquid Genius, I have studied this topic here and other forums since last year.... I find it most intriguing, eurusdd got us all going. Please keep us posted of your developments.

I took a glance at some of eurusdds screen shots. The obvious flaw on my part is that I use daily projections, and therefore I can only generate a max of 2 signals a day (one for the top projection, one for the bottom projection), whereas eurusdd had multiple per day. Of course, I could change my formula to allow for more lines; tricky to do, but not impossible. Also due to my limitations, I could only check my signals versus his signals when he posted 1hr charts. I can say that it seems that there are some similarities (he's using a filter which I am not but could easily implement) but the sample size I have is not large enough to make a conclusion.
