I think even with this simple system you should not blindly enter into trades even with all rules matched. But always check the overall market situation in the particular pair (is it choppy/sideways, was there a big move with long candle before etc.). That should help a bit to reduce losing trades. That's also a reason why you maybe will not get good results using an EA. The EA will always jump into trades as if the world is only black and white.

If you don't like Udine's system, you might have two choice:

- Leave it alone and go somewhere else

- Adapt it.

For my case, since i am using OANDA, high spread

I have to adapt Udine's rule, and looks like i am doing well now.

However, i would attribute all my credit to Udine, thanks so much!

My rule would looks like:
- Take profit 10 pips, Take SL 10 pips
- No TS, since OANDA limit this bigger than 5pips, i don't like

I just don't understand why you [or anyone] would think that whether or not Udine is profitable will make this work or not for you? Unfortunately, that will have nothing to do with it.

Traffex , persavere with gold its extremely good when you get it right , hell when you get it wrong tho, so tight discipline is no 1 requirement IMO

..Thanks...for anyone who thinks i am being ignorant to udine i dont mean to be,i am not knocking his system and fairplay to udine it works for him...however its not working for me and thats my problem.Also i cannot backtest any further than 4-5 months...My biggest worry is when to stop following the system...and did it work a couple of years ago and will it work for the next couple of years?time will tell

A trader must be adaptable and active at the right times and for the right reasons.

I like the fact that you are very aware of your own trading situation and how it is affecting your bottom line.

More importantly you are adapting to this situation and are prepared to test it and make the method your own.
