Yes its great when it happens!

And then for the start of Frankfurt I simply continue to trade but with a far reduced lot size to further reduce risk.

EDIT: if I have already made the daily goal in the Asian session (I trade Asian session with full lot sizes) I may take other good setups but at the reduced Lot size.

My lot size strategy is as follows say for example it is 1 LOT size:

1. ASIAN session: 1 LOT (since movement is usually slow)
2. FRANKFURT session: 1/3 - 1/2 Lot (depending on trades made in Asian session, if none then I trade full lots in Frankfurt)
3. LONDON session: 1 LOT and
4. NEW YORK session: 1/3 - 1/2 Lot

It's been working out really good.

ps. The London open is then what I concentrate on usually by trading with the original lot size.
New York session reduced lot size once again.

hello folks,

just trying out the system myself, i tried to load the template/profiles from post #4 but mt4 hangs even after i reduce the amount of history.. what gives?

I'm doing similar, but due to time zone issues, London just doesn't make any sense for me to trade (12am - 2/3am my time). So I trade Tokyo and NY (5am to 8am my time). At one time, I did stay up late and trade London, but working the night shift wasn't exactly why I got involved in trading financial markets. I trade equity index futures as well so the NY open is when I'm at the computer anyway. It used to be that London/NY overlap was a great time to trade currencies. Now it seems like once NY opens, currency ranges get all wedged up.

The point I would like to make is that the lot size strategy I have given earlier is NOT fixed.

But rather DYNAMIC in terms of an ever evolving strategy and it will be different for different traders.
