You think those hours are bad!

Try living in on the east coast of Australia and trading! London starts at 7pm here and doesnt finish till 1am during the winter. And it starts at 9pm and doesnt finish till 3 am during the summer.

The bastards over in Perth (the west coast) have it easier...2 hour time difference. London session 5pm-11pm during Winter, and 7pm-1am during summer.

Man, I'd love those hours.

Am I totally screwing this up?
I'd SWEAR london opens at 5:00pm here in the east during the winter?? And New York at 10:00pm.

Either way, StockWet's hit the nail on the head, I love these hours.

Aahhhhh... Yes.... of course. heh heh

For me, with avoiding Mondays ... and no trading Saturdays AND Sundays, to be a slave to the rest of the week isn't that much of a sacrifice.

hmmmm...

You'll just have to give the guys a slab or two and convince them to train Monday mornings before work.

Is here anything else to do in the middle of the night? I can never figure out what to do with myself on friday and saturday nights as it is.

If I did not spend the nights trading from 2200 until 0800 I do not know what I would do with my nights.

I think that I need to found a new organization for all others who, like me, have withdrawal symptoms on fridays and saturdays.

Anybody care to join?

How are the winters here messed up?

You mean because we have them the right time of the year? While everyone in the northern hemisphere has it at the wrong time.

Try spending your New years eve and Christmas' on the beach with the babes and having a barbeque with cold beers with your family and friends...and you'll understand what i mean.

No sitting inside and hoping the heater works so that we dont get frost bite in the morning. Or getting up christmas day and having to shovel snow from the driveway to get the car out. Then driving down the street and realising as your car starts veering off the side of the street, you forgot to put your tyre chains on, because there happens to be ice on the road!

No - thankyou!

Besides, i dont think you can call our winters, "winters" down here. It isnt exactly penguins and snow - the occasional cooler wind and rain, but thats it. I still surf and swim during the winter.

I'll be right staying where i am!

Well, I must tell you that I have spent New Years eve and Christmas on the beach with the babes and having a BBQ with cold beers with my family and friends. So I know exactly what you mean. What I like in California is just that - you can enjoy warm days on the beach or in the pool and still go skiing whenever you want to because it's just 3-4 hours drive from my house to the skiing resorts of Sierra Nevada... That's heaven on Earth... If I can go sailing on Saturday and skiing on Sunday, that for me is a perfect weekend.

When I said your winters are messed up I meant the they are in July and August... that is something I would have problems adjusting to... But then again, like you said, it's more like a rainy season than an actual winter.

I cannot imagine moving back to places where it actually snows in winter. I spent half of my life in Poland, so I know this very well. Dealing with snow just plainly sucks. And I hate tire chains.

Happy trading upside down -

If i can play rugby and golf on saturday, hit the town saturday night and surf all day sunday...that is a perfect weekend for me.:

The situation in Sydney is kinda the same as you described with what you have. Except our Ski resorts are 8 hours away, and i would have to spend a whole weekend there to enjoy it.

Or i could hop on a plane and be skiing in Queenstown, NZ within 4-5 hours (depending if you fly via Auckland or Christchurch first).

Trading upside down isnt too much of a hassle, all i have to do is look outside and view the worlds most beautiful harbour and city, or go surf in some of the worlds most beautiful and best beaches Upside down that is...

OK, you convinced me, you Aussies are not that weird after all. Maybe except for that thing about going skiing with a stopover in Christchurch. That's OK though, I've got no problem with Christchurch. I have been raised Catholic.
