Hi there, does anyone have any advice re the news indie that does not attach to my charts?

I have no idea what to do...any help would be appreciated.

lol, you would be dissapointed..

On the schoolplay I was not allowed to sing, as I sounded like the alarm of the fire brigade; the teacher was scared I would scare the people away, so I had to playback...

still have a trauma about it...

Try one of these two, and make sure to check "Allow DLL..."

I modified the sonic one so it doesn't say sonic. A bit cleaner.

Hello everyone, I love this strategy and started demo trading it to get some confidence and experience .However today my new ECN broker slipped my pending orders by 3-4 pips, so despite great spread and commissions it is unusable for this strategy since the entry at the 00 level is so essential. I have noticed from the charts posted on the thread , that some of you get precise order fills. Would you mind sharing your broker with me. Kind regard, Andrew

I am having the same problem but with all the news indicator given here in this thread.
Some of them have a little grey ball like HannesJoub...others i cant even get into the indicator file...???

Hmnn, Lion roars. Some women are attracted to male with such (manly) voice. I sound so soft, many new ones on the other end of the phone thinks I am a female and addresses me that way. I have to make my voice hoarse unless they apologize. Hmnnn... other side of the coin.

It used to be so easy working with the metatrader platform...but now a days i cant even attach an normal indicator to the chart or save it to my mt4 files.
When it appears in the custom indicator list (finally) then there is a grey dot attach and i cant even attch the indicator to the chart.?!
I have metatrader 4 build 646 30 april 2014.
And im talking bout normal mt4 files not even talking bout ex4 files coz they dont appear at all in the list of custom indicators.
I have tried to use metaeditor...loaded the indicator and tried to compile a normal file what is working for somebody else but with me it gives all kinds of errors and the file is not compiled !? so it does not work correctly thats why the grey dot appears....
Im a little bit at the end of my nerves coz it use to be so simple...why did they change it??
This why im starting to dislike the metatrader platform

So I took some time to backtest this strategy to gain more confidence. Here are my results. This is only for GJ from april 28-may 30. It ended up making a total of 200 pips for 4 weeks.

The times are in EST and I only checked from London open to London close.

For break even trades, I averaged a value of +0.5 pips since it varies for each trade because of the trailing stop.

I followed all rules, used the FF calendar history to make sure I wasn't trading an hour before and 30 mins after major gbp or jpy news.

The only thing that can askew my results slightly is the fact that I didn't have a past history of RmUp or RmDn values to know when to not take trades. I compensated for this by not taking trades after price had moved 70+ pips away from daily open.

Cool - that's how you get going - like Udine said, the testing process helps you believe and then the actual actions become easier. I have done a visual backtest of EJ and GJ for 6 months and know well enough for me that it certainly works.
Small disciplines repeated with consistency lead to great achievements.

Very interesting. I don´t have experience in backtesting so I am wondering how did you test this ?

I'm still trying to understand the entry rules after the London open per rule #4 on page 1. Does "all levels" mean literally every pip or every 10 pips, ie 173.20, 173.10, etc? Thanks.

It means every 10 pips, except the 90 level on the buy side and the 10level on the sell side.

I just went back and looked at the charts from april 28 at on, and every time I saw a valid entry level according to the system I would record the outcome of that trade on excel, whether it be a winner, loser, or break even.
