With reprisal of Iranian crude oil embargo, inflation numbers further getting out of whack. Fed forced to look at inflation/commodity bull cycles, the US enters a projected hard landing scenario. In a crisis situation the FED will add immense liquidity if things start getting undone. The initial bull spike will occur in USD, as emerging markets clobbered looking for safety in gold/bonds/dollar.

The current trade is a hard one at best. We will just have to go with it. I project a bull dollar bias in all trades for the immediaste future. Use technical retracements to get in, (so your stops are less likely to be taken out).

No, .........exchange rates are purely speculative, there is no basis to its current exchange rate then purely perception. In a fear scenario, noone cares about the deficit. People will want their assets in a very highly liquid market such as the USD.

If this is strong USD policy...than it's working... watch for stops around 1.8180 either today or after data tomm.

Impossible to ignore USD strength...that's if your into positive pips.

I think people would rather be in the currency, with the biggest guns being fired. ie USA, US interest rates are very competitive.

The cable broke the pound on friday and today has run down to 8526. I think it will go up tommorrow to aobut 8700 before it loses steam and I also see 9030 as possible for the week.
