Thank you for testing the PSAR settings I asked about. I have no idea why your result was so terrible. Those settings line up almost exactly with trend line breaks, so are loosely accurate. Oh well. They are still very good for placing trailing stops, with some common sense. If it was that easy to just let them trade for you though, everyone would be doing it

No problem though If you apply it to your chart, and observe it during active trading sessions, you will question the result too. There is a conflict somewhere. If I get a reversal signal, it must be valid. It is not always a trade, because I also track momentum, but it is a take profit point with a wait and see if I will actually reverse or continue in the same direction. An indicator that gives me false information is useless to me. I would encourage you to determine if your divergence is useful to you in real time, or just something you look at in history. Historical data and historical trading make $0.00 profit. Just saying.

Hi Proximus. Can you please explain why this is not curve fitting that you're doing? It seems as though it is. You could scan 12 years past data and come up with a winning system with rules like sell after an Everton win and buy after an Everton loss. Isn't this what's really happening? Thanks.
