multi-purpose Stoch Alert

Yesterday I have modified the STO ALERT by AEJ (with some mods of mine) and have added the option to get alerted when the stoch main changes the direction (thread).

Later that evening I had some internet connection problems and decided to use the time to extend that stoch indicator (I like the stoch ... ), pls. see attached.

I think the new external parameters are self-explanatory:

DrawStochSignal = FALSE;
TRUE: draws the stoch signal

DrawMaOfStochMain = FALSE;
TRUE: draws a ma of stoch main (ma-settings below)

UseMAfilter=FALSE (I have renamed it), this was part of the famous Nanningbob 10.4 trading system
true: fire alerts if bid/ask >(long) or <(short) the specified ma (default: ma 240 on H4)

alert on which events?
Level1CrossAlerts/Level2CrossAlerts FALSE
if true it will give alerts when stoch main crosses the push1level/drop1level / push2level/drop2level

DirectionChangeAlerts = TRUE
will fire an alert when stoch main changes its direction

StochSignalCrossAlerts = false
will fire an alert when stoch main crosses stoch signal

MaOfStochCrossAlerts = false
will fire an alert when stoch main crosses the ma of stoch main

I have renamed the indicator to "mpStochAlert" because I think that describes more what that indi is about -> mp stands for "multi purpose" ...

orange: stoch main / red: stoch signal / antiquewhite: ma of stoch main

pls. redownload, it seems that I forgot to enable the alert-procedure for ma of stoch crosses ...

I have a problem with the indicator it is only showing one Line the orange one I did all what you write. What could be the Problem ?

it should work if you remove the indicator and load it with the changed settings on the chart again.
nevertheless, I have fixed that small bug, it should work now (post 1).

Thanks a lot for pointing me to that bug. I am using the indicator for myself also, but with the stochmain and ma of stoch shown only ...

hm, further I have to admit that I did not test all the alert-methods/settings, so if you find more bugs pls. report them in this thread.

great indicator.
Can you tell me whether its possible to change the settings so that the alert for the Stoch cross is based on a higher time frame ?
I trade from the 15 min chart, but base the set-ups off the stoch crossing levels on the 4hr chart.

If not, I guess I can just have it running on a dedicated 4hr chart.

Why isn't this Stochastic showing the graph as the other Stochastics? Settings are the same 8,3,3.
I'd like to use it because of its extra (alert) features, but is must display exactly as the original, because I'm scalping and I got used with Stochastic. A small difference might make me enter to late or to early.

Hello fxdaytrader, hope you're doing fine and thanks for the great indicator.

If I may request, it would be great if you could add another alert option for "Direction Change of the MA of Main Stochastic." I mean the indicator would fire an alert whenever (or upon candle close) the MA of Main Stoch changes its direction (up/down)

Great indicator! I know this thread is from a couple of years ago but still very helpful!

Not sure if you have time for this and / or willing to do so, but what I'd like to see added is an alert when the MA crosses above the 50 level up or down.

That would be awesome.
