Good I'm glad....you are a much better trader than you give yourself credit for That would be good to post some trades here, I will hopefully have some to post tomorrow, a bit more time for it then.

I'm from California? I knew it! I'm American.

I have no idea why my profile says I'm from the USA. I'm from sunny south of England

I'm jumping systems? I use the TDI and Genesis .... the former being a trend setter and the latter for entries. I believe, rightly or wrongly, that each timeframe has its own trend and trade accordingly.

Gotcha, I just wanted clarification on that. TDI for trend and Genesis for entries. I get Genesis for the entries because you are trading shorter timeframes. What made you settle on TDI for trend?

I don't use the TDI on its own, for finding the trend..... I also use volume, Support and Resistance and any levels of interest. Once I have an idea of the trend for the timeframe, I consult the TDI . I use the TDI because I think its very receptive to PA and doesn't lag too much.
Who knows whether anything I say is remotely plausible ..lol...I am not a profitable trader.... I'd like to have 80-90 winning trades out of 100 to call myself profitable.

Since I follow you, I do see that you are working. That is most definitely a good thing. I am not profitable either by your definition. I am a home run hitter, that means I strike out most of the time. One trade will make or break my year. In the meantime, I do take small pieces of my account, 10-20 bucks, and I play speculation games with it, which actually so much more fun!

I found out that after reading about Scotland I know nothing about the UK. Perhaps I can strike a friendly convo with a native, if you don't mind us arrogant Americans!

.... and lol about your geography.... I know I watched this on TV a few years back ..... it was either one of your politicians or a military general who had no idea where the country they were at war with was...lol....

I love Americans....... thats why I was so excited when you told me I was Californian...lol

All position builders/ millipeders trade this way, we lose most of the time. But sooner or later there will be a trend....a long trend.

Yeah, we take abuse on the internet constantly. Stupid Americans. I would like to take offense, but, well, I live here. We take A LOT for granted.

I started a thread about the Euro Zone, and whether or not it would survive, I was abused. But that's okay.

Anyways, it is good to know a Briton.......I will be PMing you whenever I have a question that I think my news media lied to me about.

I told LW this, but I guess I forgot to tell you. When it comes to TDI vs. genesis, as much as I liked genesis as a system, a TDI cross will always anticipate a full painted matrix by at least 1 candle, sometimes 2-4. The problem with genesis is that one of the 4 composing indis always takes forever to paint so you get 3 3 3 4 of a kind. I tried to trace back my origins a few months ago and backtested this. Especially if the reversal is a bit sharper. Bottom line, by filtering signals well, genesis can yield a bigger strike rate, but will make you stay out of many trades.

You're right WD. Thats why I use Genesis for entries...... its especially good for the H1 and H4 TDI entries. You just have to be selective which Genesis signal to use..... I always watch out for volume to direct me. I believe there's no big move without Professional volume.
