I think you may have judged a little harshly with Mr. Walker before having a chance to properly take his words into consideration.

He didn't actually say anything that was incorrect and that doesn't hold a little merit.

The idea of Re-painting is something that will always be questioned and I can tell you this as a FACT...all indicators repaint.

From time to time, your broker will have missing data, and during the weekends when the market is closed and they refresh their servers, these holes get filled. When this happens, it will correct all indicators on the chart according to the information that gets added. Typically, unless you are watching the fast time frames, this goes completely un-noticed.

Those happen to be what I watch, so am a lot more privy to this information...no broker is perfect in their data, some by happenstance, others by tactic.

Along with this, I can tell you from working with AutoMated traders that there is always a discrepancy as to when trades get taken, this is between coders and trade logic.

What is a valid trigger?

If you are dependent on an indicator, the indicator is only VALID when the candle has closed. Not a fraction of a second before.

An easy way to view this is through the use of a standard oscillator on the M1 charts. Because I have actually practiced taking trades without the use of price and only the use of indicators, I can tell you, again as FACT, that only when the bar is closed, will any signal be valid.

Take the MACD as an example and plot it onto a chart. If you understand how the standard MACD triggering logic is, applied to the Meta4 charts, you will see that there is a Histogram forest, and a trigger line. Watch these on an M1 or M5 chart. You will see how these indicators paint with the price and a trigger can only be validated after the close of a candle. When the triggerline is no longer in the Forest, this indicates the convergence/divergence of the indicator and suggest a possible trend reversal.

I am not telling you to use MACD in your system, but only observe how it moves with the price in a limited and fast time frame.

Once you understand this, it will allow you to be a little more discretionary in your trade practices...as was suggested.

Eitan, you are doing well...I am continuously impressed with not only your efforts, but your success as well. To keep on with this, as I have suggested before, accepting what others may say can be as crucial to your success as others listening to you, will be crucial to theirs.

But I actually believe that he posted a strong argument in a respectful manner.

Sure there is some question as to the posters validity, when their only seeming reason to join FF is to post a comment...but there was some sound logic in there.

Look at the trade, is it still valid or has it been invalidated?

Look at what was posted, is it an attack or a suggestion for another positive learning experience.

I suggested that others will come along with negativity...but as the master of your house, it is not only an opportunity to meet with the information in a positive light, but an obligation to take all words into consideration.

I am loving this thread. The friendly nature of most of the people and the willingness to help people. I am going through my charts and looking at all you guys trades. I understand the 1:1 RR etc. Can you tell me do you guys trail stops or move to break even at a certain point or just let trades run. How are people managing their trades after their entries?

I´ve got a Q about actual rules about your systems.

I did follow page #1 but : HG system was improved by TDI indicator with yellow line, it´s clear for me.
Little Q about other matrix indicators in HG tpl.
For entry have I consider for confirmation matrix indicators? together with HG rules on the page #32 + TDI ? Because I´m a little bit confused if the actual HG tpl is not some combination between HG and MRI ?

Last Q for now please : I didn´t find out an explanation of actual Lotus system again. Can someone help me ?
