From what I gather, we're still set for some more risk-on trading, but it's going to be a tough grind.
Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately) for me, I no longer follow any time frame lower than 4 hours. I tried and I did okay, but it's not worth the time invested for the return I received. So, I have to look at mostly the daily, weekly and monthly charts.
Based on that, we are certainly soon due for a major correction, and when that happens and it's done, then crude and all the commodity currencies (AUD, CAD etc) and the general risk currencies (EUR & GBP) will fly back up so high, they will have nose bleeds. But first a correction. So when will that happen?
Timing for me has always been my Achilles heel, so I will not try to speculate on that, but risk appetite that is still around is starting to get nervous and is likely to start taking profits at some point soon. The market makers and fundamental traders have already started taking their profits, but the tech traders keep buying until the charts tell them otherwise... which has yet to happen. When it all comes together, we get the major correction I am longing for.
Till then, I very cautiously re-adjust some of my long risk positions and start putting in some small sells on knee jerk rallies... but as I said, very cautiously.
