Yes, I am aware of that fact. I am aiming at being profitable in about 2 years. For now I just want to survive in the market. True, you need rules. I think now I am still in the phase of testing different stuff and rules, so this is a bit of a mess sometimes. But I am learning from every mistake, so it is good. I started a trading journal, but it is pretty hard to keep it filled every day. If I am at the office and open a position, I do not always get the time to fill this into the journal because someone walks in who should not know that I am trading because of prejudices etc. The day is packed enough to forget it later, but maybe just a lack of discipline. I will try harder.

Btw, when did you start?

yes agree, in the beginning you don't really know what to look for, what style, TF etc.. and your prolly going to switch a couple of times before you find something you like.. I made a few jumps myself, but at a point you know what you like.. e.g I started with stochastic, macd, combination of moving averages, divergence and in the end I tried S/R.. in the TF, I started with 1 min and 5 min charts, moved to 15 min charts, moved to 30 min charts and then finally decided to focus on the Daily.

long story short, I decided to focus on 1 pair; the euro, 1 TF ; the Daily chart, 1 "approach"; S/R areas..

I demoed a long time before Live trading, but thats just me, I just couldn't make myself trade without a proper strategy.. I also had a journal and I still have, in the beginning I had a book, but it was too difficult to read at the end of the day/week .. lol.. so I made a template in excel, just small notes and the time of day.. at the end of the day, I take screenshots and insert them with my notes.. it's actually a pretty good way of going back in time, and see what your thought were at that moment.. well, at least for me..

I started with stocks 5 years ago, but I had a fulltime job at that moment..

Good morning.

@hadox: seems so obvious that you instinctively get cautious, isn't it? But I'm at my wits end with this relentless drive. My question would be: who the f... is buying this thing at 10,000? Anyway, I've got a level at 10,052, but not gonna play it. Thinking about unwinding my last Dax ETF's here.

On other news: closed my UChf long yesterday @898, now looking to add to short for 8825 or thereabouts. Tried another ECad against my own judgement and got what I deserved. Had a signal this morning which I ignored because of that, and got what I deserved...
Looking to long AU @923. And GU: I like this. I didn't get in, but I like this very much. Let's see, where it takes us. I've got a bunch of missed targets on the upside, so might start to long this soon, but not yet. Skip that, just entered with a tight sl on a mofu.

oops, little fuck up on my charts.. 1.676x might offer a bounce to 1.681x as a start , if not 1.672x is in play..

updated the chart a bit fwiw..

so far, no bulls around 1.676x.. I guess it's better RR wise around 1.672x or 1.666x, I'll look for clues at those areas.. but so far the PA suggest, that the best option is to scale a bit out at the S- areas, instead of buying them.. anyway, time will tell..

E/U outlook: looking at a possible long area at 1.3587. There's a strong support level, nice demand and a confluence of weekly and monthly pivots. If it's gonna bounce, that's where I'm putting my money.

Crude oil update: there is a double top in place on H4, but before any further downside, 103.52 needs to be taken out

doesn't look like it hadox, USDOLLAR seems to predict lower levels, would search something near 1.3540-1.3550 level lining up with 10.575 for USDOLLAR

I see, thx..

looking at 1.358x and 1.364x today.. the next S- area I have is around 1.352x/1x, but at any rate, I'll wait for some clues at the levels first..
