DislikedI have been trying out cTrader for a few days, it will take me a while to get used to. Execution is definitely faster than I was getting on MT4. I see the spreads are the same but is the commission charged higher? I was paying 0.46 GBP on a 0.1 position with MT4. Looks like I am paying 0.70 GBP on a 0.1 position with cTraderIgnored
DislikedThank-you for your response Jack. For your information I opened my account in GBP and the commissions I posted above were for GBP/USD. So unless I misunderstood, the commission is higher. AUS/USD is 0.46p for a 0.1 position on MT4 and 0.33 base currency on cTrader. EUR/USD is 0.46p for a 0.1 position on MT4 and 0.56 base currency on cTrader.Ignored
Dislikedbogus, my MT4 accounts are live and the cTrader account is a demo. Jack, did your rep get back to you regarding the commission rates? Everyone who has used MT4 and cTrader, I would love to hear what you believe to be the pros and cons comparing the 2 platforms.Ignored

As a result it will cost (at an approximate rate of 1.5 EURAUD) 0.105 AUD in commission, which is then rounded to 0.1 AUD in the platform. The commission structure is different from MT4 in that it is not a fixed amount regardless the pair you are trading. The method cTrader uses for commission calculation will occur...
DislikedMy MT4 and cTrader accounts are in GBP. Thanks again. On another note, did anyone get an MT4 terminal freeze just before the 2:30 P.M ECB press conference/unemployment claims? Both my Pepperstone live MT4 accounts froze about 6 seconds before the release for 1 minute and 40 seconds. My other 3 live accounts with different brokers did not freeze and the internet connection was good as I was able to open webpages during the freeze.Ignored
DislikedJack, what do you prefer about cTrader? Personally I like the execution speed but find MT4 much easier on the eye.Ignored
