same here. Many people here in FF are unable to reflect or take a view above their horizont. What a pity, isn't it?

in the past such locations like FF were called discussion boards. Lately one should call them "pissing contest arena"

regarding cable, 1.666x is just an area where I would like to scale out.. atm I split my position in 6 targets, and my targets are just S/R areas.. just a method to get as much profit if the entry is caught at the right area..

Asia decided to take it slow, except in AU no real gaps. One of my EA longs almost stopped, but now alright...
Idea today: try to long EU around 3670, maybe ECad as well.

Edit: just found this, maybe interesting for the crude traders here (they know it already, I guess...): http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/n...t-in-Asia.html

Well, not everybody starts with 1/4 mln. Just make 32 mln with 2,000 you laid to the side for bad days.

I actually believe that Schick is doing this. I couldn't do it, but I believe 5% a day, consistently, is possible. The thing about Infinitus post is: you don't go for the same risk, and actually you will have big problems getting your orders filled, once you trade an account with the big figures. But with 100% a month you can live carefree and risk only an account of 10,000 or so.

There are several problems:

a) shooting for 5% a day is risky as hell

b) trading bigger accounts is just another story, because of psyche

c) dreaming of 100% a month is, well, how shall I say, a pipedream........

The point is simply (JMHO):

Advocating and advertising trades for 5% or even more per day, saying, that it is easy on top of that, is simply not the best thing one can do for own credibility.

Everyone can do the math, calculate the risk etc.

When Schick is able to do so: "Congratulations", and see you in a few dominating the world.

When you can do it with small account, you can do it with huge account.

When you get liquidity problems by trading a huge account, you simply open a few more accounts with other liquidity providers. When that is not enough, you can trade beside of Currencies the stock indices, commodities etc.

Because it is all so easy and risk free.


Thought that there were a few threads left without pissing contest, especially this one. Say that I am wrong......

I do not disagree in principle with your post. I say it's possible, not that I am able to do it. Far from it.
There is this guy who flies with a wingsuit through some rock formation. Possible, I couldn't do it. And yes: risky.
Let's not turn this into the n-th academical discussion about moneymanagement, etc.
Personally my aim is 100% p.a.. In times when you can make about 4-5% (- inflation) a year without very active management, I think trading should yield this.

in the end percentages means jacks shit.. we all know that big returns doesn't come from a big account, period.. no need to keep bragging and the endless bullshit about performance and bla bla bla.. I mean, whats the idea about that, serious? .. I might offend someone, but the biggest no go for me is when someone starts posting performance, account growth etc.. just endless ego crap..

I thought this was a serious place to discuss trading, but I was apparently wrong.. what a shame..
