Ok let's just pretend that there was no spread, do you think it would've been easier to be profitable ? Also, have you ever dropped a system because precisely the spread was making it unprofitable ? I 'd love to hear your thoughts on that. Thanks.

The spread is only important when you trade smaller timeframes for few pips.

When you are looking at higher charts, the spread shouldn't be held responsible of a non profitable strategy ...

When you are scalping yes spread is very important. Banks Robot scalp all the time. So they need low spread as possible to get million $ each year....

Now when you play strategy that tp over 50 pip. Then spread does not affect trade since your profit is 48 pip while spread is only 2 pip... It's not going to matter.


There is also this one theory that I have been thinking awhile. I already "know" that You can't reverse signal a LOSING system and expect to become millionaire.

Because Forex PROFIT and LOSS is like a SINE WAVE. What ever your GAIN today OVER TIME you will give it ALL BACK . You will be back at 0$ profit. Like wise if you LOSE today and you keep holding your loss OVER TIME you will get back to 0$ loss... So that mean the you are losing SPREAD $ because in the real world your trade have spread.

If you believe this theory and tried to exploit this you will have what you call the Holigrail.

There is no spread small enough that can save you from a bad trade.

Since we're pretending here...If there was no spread AND no commission. Then it would be MUCH EASIER to be profitable. Just cut a loss as soon as it ticks down and hold on to winners until they tick down. This is also assuming that your entries are on the right side more than half of the time.

Let me know when you find a broker/dealer that is legit and offers no spread and no commission.

I do not think anyone will make more profit without spread. Spread just makes loss 2 to 3 pips and if someone open a trade and if the quote does not go according to order then he will loss though the spread is none. For scalper I think it is good for them and they will be able make some more money with it.
