Hi Rooi, yes it was an easy entry to take. signal appeared while I was setting up and missed the initial entry, but it came back up again and provided a better SL so entered on the later entry using 1pip buffer on signal close price.

Entry on the GU is great trade with high probability and very nice R:R once a better SL forms.I saw it a bit late as I was late setting up but I was ready to wager money on the fact that you were in that trade.Would have been easy money

Whenever you find time for the PM. I'm in no rush.

Bought the break and retest of 200sma and the BRN 1.4600 hopefully this is a nice little reversal today. I,m always looking for a reversal after a strong move down overnight. Trouble is more often than not I get up 10 or so pips then it comes back and wacks me out at BE , but then if you don't try you're never know???

Hi Rooi, GU was definitely easy money today so far. Since my trade, 3 more solid opportunities. 2 would have made profit, 1 would have been BE exit. Plus there was a great trade immediately before the one I took. It doesn't get any easier than this.
Have PM'd and will catch up later.

Also meant to ask you guys about exits too as I've been up 8 to 10 pips in 2 trades today but holding for the bigger win so knocked out at BE both times. Its very frustrating.

Whats your guys thinking on exits and don't you ever hold for the bigger run??

Hi Clivepackham, whichever signal comes first between EJ & GU does it for me. (normally set up and watching around 15/30 mins before FO)
I use 2 exits, 1st TP is +7/8 or more if the market gifts it, TP2 exit at discretion around any weakness of signal, barrier, news etc. I tend to close out TP2 if it's anywhere near my daily target and showing any sign of weakness, like today.
I never ever pre-suppose/expect/anticipate/hope any trade will be a runner, not on 1min.

Thanks Strata really appreciate you taking the time to answer. I think this "holding for a runner" is my biggest nemesis, I'm gonna work on it full time as constantly get nice entries and get to BE quickly but 9 times out of 10 get stopped out at BE or worst a loser!!!

Maybe the best of both worlds is to take TP1 early for 8 to 10 pips, whenever momentum fades, then move to BE and let the other half run!!!Yep like the sound of that will give it a go going forward,

GM - with big UK news out later, I focused on cable and GbpJpy, trading both ways.....this was the best one.


At 7:28 GMT UsdJpy gave a sell signal. At 7:45 cable also gave a sell signal and thus GbpJpy too as it moved into harmony with UJ

Now I am back concentrating on my swing trading UsdTry with its 50 - 100 pip ID swings....I bought the fake-out / stop sweep at 7:40..

Man oh man!!! What a difference that has made to my trading today already Strata!!!

Just taken 3 entries with 5 profitable TPs and one BE!!! 4.1+0+5.8+3.1+16.6+13.0= 42.6!!!

And should of held the last one would be 30 odd pips up and still going but sick and tired of giving it all back!!! Next time I will let the 2nd TP ride.

Early days I know but feel like its the final piece of the jig saw.

Yep but b4 I do how do I get my past trades to show??? Do I have to put them on myself or is there a way to do it through mt4???It was basically post news trading on GBPJPY shame I didn't hold them this time!!!! Would be about 100 pips up by now, sods law I guess.

Here you go , can't find how to mark the trades through mt4 so basically after a high differential news release gbpJPY came to top of top trenders(obviously) so waited for pullbacks as marked and took profits as I saw fit at the time moving to BE at same time.

The last pullback I got shaken out of for -2.5 pips lost my nerve I guess shame as that was the best entry if I had left it.

Also its a bit ironic but actually if I had left the trades on I would of been laughing but thats the power of hindsight I guess, bloody good stuff if we could get some beforehand heh????

Just drag your trades from the Account History tab onto your chart (drag and drop)

Just reload your template to clear the history off the chart, and remember not to save the template with the history on as it fills the template with junk over time.

As per request by PM I will share entry system that I use.

I use the color change on the matrix together with the bars at the bottoms color change

Once the color change happens there should be a 1 pip improvement of the of the signal bar

Not all entries are going to be profitable and working out the best entries are up to you and how you like to trade

The rest of the info is all in the thread to read and there are plenty of examples.I suggest digesting Strada's charts as that is what I do.

The most important of the system is to make your wins bigger than your losers.There will be plenty of loser but you are able make money by keeping them small.

The vertical lines shows possible trades for today

Hope this helps.
