Weak high left behind from yesterday's Bund session. Look how close VPOC is to the high of the day, and how flat/blunt the profile is. Fully expecting this to get taken out by the end of the week

How do you trade that though RS, I have noticed that the market tends to move back to key areas, like POC and the open. But I can't really see how I can trade that because even though on most occasions price does come back to the POC if it moves away from it, I can't predict with accuracy if and when it will.

Hey, I use these magnetic areas for a bias and/or targets.

You're right you can't just bang on a long and wait for price to get back to VPOC as you have undefined risk. But you can trade that particular market more aggressively to the long side, and if you're lucky enough to end up with a trade nicely onside, you can try to run it (or a portion of it) all the way to the reference area in question. It just adds to my backdrop/opinion of the underlying strength weakness in the market.

One thing I like to do is 'zero' my trades, meaning I enter what I consider to be a high probability long setup, if I get the initial bounce I'm looking for, I take 1/2 the position off, which puts my break-even point way below my initial entry. This allows me to give the trade more room to eventually move towards one of my long term targets such as that weak high in the bund.

Obviously there's a fair amount of luck needed, but that's what trading's all about in my opinion, putting yourself in a position to benefit from luck

The S&P has been very balanced overall in May so far, with a VPOC of 1878.75. This is above the previous acceptance area of 1865.00, indicating that value is shifting higher and a break of the all time highs is still on the cards

My view on GBP:

We had a good run up today, and left behind a weak high with VPOC right near the high of the day, this suggests that buyers were still very willing to buy up there and we're likely to see higher prices after a bit of a pullback

Interesting how yesterday's S&P500 VPOC was in line with the low volume node from the previous day. This makes the 1868.50 level important today, we may see some support there off the open, if buyers are in control here they should be able to defend it. if sellers are equally strong we'll probably see another VPOC around 1868.50 today

This is playing out quite well, 1868.50 held so far and buyers have made some progress by taking out yesterday's high. Next target for them is 1880.00

To me that says there is high demand in that area, firstly because prices swept through so fast meaning that there were few sell orders, and now VPOC means that sellers are meeting resistance at that level. Nice

Hey Risk, just checking back in with you guys after a bit of a hectic few months, working in Italy , away from the wonderful Caribbean. Just one reason I need to get my trading in a gear. Well done with the educational stuff as well.

I also see Anthony G is your broker. Very great service. He answered some of my questions on a Sunday evening. I endorse him and his services 100%. I should mention that I learned to incorporate VP from FT71, as well as another educational provider out of the UK. As for the discounts offered by ST5 for Risk Surfer Clients, care to expand more on that?

Did you ever get around to using the SC software and data feed. As a matter of fact, did anyone else try to work with the SC demo? I'd love to hear your reviews. The cost factor is interesting, but using IRT and DTN has worked out great for me, both in terms of software and support from the sales team. ST5 was also able to secure some discounts.

All in all, both sore thumbs up.

Lastly, did anyone ever figure out how to use the MT4 indis on version 625? I'd sure love to hear about your experiences.....

Welcome back! Working in Italy sounds great but going back to the Caribbean sounds better Which part are you from? I have spent quite a bit of time in the British Virgin Islands in the past

Yeah I've been working with Anthony closely on a new project (I'm the co-founder - working with a trading colleague) as well as clearing through Stage5/OEC for some of my personal trading, so I know he's willing to make sure Riskurfer customers get the very best service - although nothing formal is currently in place - watch this space

There are a couple of RS members who are using sierra charts and they seem to be getting along just fine with it. We cross checked their charts/data with mine and everything seemed to line up. One member in particular I know reads/posts in this thread (236Dave), perhaps he'd be kind enough to share his experiences with SC for those interested

I'm not sure what the state of play is with Metatrader. AdrianC posted some comparision here which looked pretty good, but I'm not sure which build he's running - http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...00#post7430100

Hi All,
I have SC running with Stage 5 data feed and with the help of another SC user I have been able to setup charts as per attached.
My objective is to try and learn whilst following the signals, although with recent developments in my day job I haven't had much time to do that. Hopefully when things settle down I can spend more time on the learning side of things.

RS - This might be asking too much, but when I do get more time, would it be possible to post some old charts and have a go at working out what the confluence was for giving that signal?

Anthony at Stage 5 has been very helpful. My demo account has been making good progress and I am now looking to go live, although I am struggling a bit with my bank understanding the funding instructions. I might send a seperate e mail to RS and ask for some help on this, if that is ok?

BTW - Is there something special being setup for RS customers,?
Would it be worthwhile hanging back on my live account to see whats on offer?
