Hi I'm a manual trader, trade usually on news and looking for a consistently low slippage and low spread during news announcements.

Anybody know any? Got hit with a 25 pip spread recently and that was rather unfair, I still made money on the trade but much less than what I should have got.

I just read somewhere on this forum about a "huge" slippage.. The trader was complaining about a 30-something slippage, but as I understood, he was trading during news and this is normal, even with ECN brokers...
So, to answer your question, I don't think brokers can guarantee you low slippage, because, especially during news (which is your trading preference) s**t happens... On the other hand, if big slippage happens constantly or not during big news releases then it's probably time to change broker...

It's a bit suspicious that a broker can't fill in a price for >10 pips on supposedly the largest most liquid market in the world don't you think?

You'd be best to wait after the news for trades dude, most brokers will slip you like a banana skin during NFP, FOMC, ECB etc but you probably already know.

Ignored
I think it is highly likely that you are going to get slipped trading during these news events, you can see how fast price moves dude, you need to rethink your strategy as your not likely to get good fills at those peak events.

Truthfully I think that's where brokers make most of their money not that there's a liquidity issue - it has to be bs.
