A Martingale-like system to ameliorate the whipsawing problem

Granted. As I mention in the PDF, this came to me in my noob days, and is probably best interpreted as food for thought, though I do believe that an adept trader trading a trending instrument like the S&P's or Gold will be successful using this system.

What talking you ? How is Martingale going affect your result, martingale is just exponential trading and it will make you lose eventually.

Martingale is not a trading system. The amount of fear you will have when your matingale hit a loss streak will affect your trading psychology.
and make you believe having an infinite amount of money is what you need

Try learn the proper entry method will be better. rather than learn the money management method(martingale)

I agree with you Chaos, trading the traditional Martingale will probably lead to the results you describe.

I would say only two words "SCARY METHOD"

I used to describe my martingale method as "not traditional too".

Actually to make money in forex is just simply to understand how price move, you don't need any special money management method.
Just simple withdraw profit when you win and keep your equity at a certain level. Open big lot with tight stop loss.

I'm not currently trading this system Chaos, I just posted it for the purposes of research, someone might stumble upon it who might be interested in 'cracking' the Martingale or whatever, he might benefit from my insights, if there are any. But for what it's worth, I never lost money using this method, because I kept all my trades open, I defined the range, I let it reveal itself and its boundaries, and then took advantage of it (all of which is described in the PDF). A skilled trader will be able to maneuver himself even if things get bad. But I do agree with your general remarks: there are better ways to profit from the market.
