Quoting jhathawaDislikedMine has this
iTE=iBullsPower(NULL,0,13,6,0)+iBearsPower(NULL,0,13,6,0);
How come yours is different , using a 20 ? Did you manually change it or did some other value change that value ? Also, what value does the 13 and the 6 refer to. thxIgnored
Quoting traderoneDislikedPut it into your expert subdirectory, not the indicators. AFter doing that you should restart your MT4 workstation.Ignored

Quoting monoDislikedHi Guys,
I've been testing 2 phoenix settings this week.
"Phoenix 30-300" has a W/L of 11/0 with 6 floats
"Phoenix default" has a W/L of 72/39 with 6 floats
Results and settings are below

Quoting tradeigelDislikedLook at this, guys. It's a backtest on EURUSD; all the details are on the statement.
If this worked....WOW.
Too bad that BT is really not reliable...
In BT it works so much better without CloseSignal, anybody else experiencing problems with that?Ignored
Quoting AZBOfinDislikedlook for this line of code in the indicator source:
dResult=iBullsPower(NULL,0,20,PC,pos)+iBearsPower(NULL,0,20,PC,pos);
PC describes the type of closing price used for the bulls/bears calculation.
these are the numeric codes:
now check the source code for the EA:
iTE=iBullsPower(NULL,0,20,6,0)+iBearsPower(NULL,0,20,6,0)
make sure all parameters are the same otherwise the indicator displays not the correct values.

Quoting cgldsmthDislikedDon't think backtesting tells us a great deal about phoenix.
Mono - I think the 30-300 set will need testing next week with the time settings to hopefully avoid some bad trades.
(Could I ask you a small favour - could you PM me your settings for firebirdG which you've had amazing results with?)

Quoting zarniDislikedHi Mono,
thank you for proving that info but do you really think a SL of 300 is viable??
I can essentially make pretty much any system work at near to no loss in the short term. However it takes just a couple bad trades with that kind of system to wipe you out....Ignored
Quoting monoDislikedHi Zarni
Well, I agree with you to a certain degree, it does sound scary. I am waiting for that day and until it comes, hopefully i'll have enough funds to cover my losses.
What do you define as short term? I'm currently testing Firebird ( into its 5th week) and with its record of 171/1. I had my doubts, so I started a another test and then another, all with the same/similar results. You cannot ignore the results. Its doing something right.
Hopefully Phoenix will do the same or similar job.
P.S.
If u can make any system work at near to no loss, I would like u to show it. Maybe I'll use yours to go live.
