don't exit because it's retracing,

you know it's going to retrace, it always does, that's the market.

if you're going to exit now then you might as well exit when its at the high.

If the weekly is trending down and you keep selling the high of the week or high of the day and then wait, you will make money.

You will have drawdowns and you will only have about 30% of your entries survive...

and you will have very big wins far bigger than ANY day trading strategy...

This is why the most successful fund managers as long as there has been trading Trend trade.

don't post that much, but I do read your thread(s) and posts very frequently. I really like the simplicity of your message.
Though I do have to admit some sort of ... issues ... with low RR methods... You know, losing is mean
I remember one of J16 posts saying something like it's frustrating now but wait for in 2 years from now.
I stick to it, as I know its power. Slow and steady

I am not against the idea of trailing stops on one position, in fact if I was using H1 to enter at the extreme of daily each day then I would.

I do move my stops up but try to avoid doing it quickly

I am using the 100ema on daily. Now the decision relies a lot on how long you want to stack your positions. If you only want to build stacks of 4-5 positions then TP the 50 will probably be better. I personally am looking for the 7-10 stacks or more. The 100 will often keep you in one direction all year and the drawdowns are longer and deeper, but, the rewards are also bigger.....

thanks again,that explains everything i will start with 100 ema on daily chart,one more thing does 100ema on 4 hr has any play in system

Im using the 100ema on DAILY - so thats the 600ema on H4... glad you like it, Trend trading is the way!

I have been playing around with different frequency MA's for bias, I like the fact that the slower 100 keeps you in the weekly trends that can go on all year

Hi 60mm. I know you mentioned you do not want this thread to be a thread for explaining this strategy, but more as a journal for your trades. Is there somewhere else - blog, video, thread or something where you have explained this strategy clearly? I am still not clear on a few things. Thanks

this is a weekly chart of GJ for the last 18 months, with a 20EMA...

Obvious trend up, We just need to buy the low of every week and wait

Find the trend (higher TF) buy the lows each week, hold them

how do you find the low of the week?

go to lower TF (h4 or h1)

wait for it to make a low, wait for it to turn around and close up, buy the breakout - repeat until you have the low (opposites for short trend)

that is all you need to do... the rest is just money management

Hi 60mm, thanks for th offer. Ok going back to this statement: "2. If the trend is long we go to H4 chart and we wait for a/ price to make a new low for the week. b/ a h4 bar to close up. c/ price to break out of the high."
If I use the chart below as an example (I am using a 100sma), and have already determined trend is down, so looking for a short trade. Am I correct in saying candle A will be the new high for the week, candle B has now closed down (a down bar), and candle C must break the low of (this is where I am confused) of candle B or is it candle C for us to take the trade? Also when do you add to (stack) the other trade you leave to run? Many thanks.
