Hi Fti,

I have a question about the situation now. EUR/USD is rallying. But the EUR crosses seem to doing the opposite. Can see looking at the USD crosses that this move seems to be from people selling USD right?

So the rally in EUR/USD is not being generated by Buying EUR to USD but from people selling there USD. So for example the EUR/CHF is falling but this is not beacuse of people selling EUR but im guessing because USD/CHF is selling off people are buying CHF which is causing the drop in the EUR/CHF.??

Am i looking at this correctly? And if so is there anything else we can determine from the crosses for our strategies? I am interested as last week you mentioned how they were using the crosses to underpin there trades. Im not sure how this works?

Hi Acs_112, would like to attempt to answer your question.

first: rally in EUR/USD is generated by buying EUR against USD and this is the same as selling USD against EUR.
second: Given that EUR/USD is rallying and USD/CHF is is declining, then there is a selloff in USD
third: Given that at the same time that EUR/CHF is declining, then CHF is stronger that EUR at the moment
last: if we have a major selloff in USD across currency, why bother in crosses? because crosses may give a glismpe at which girl is leading the pack/driving the selloff and "complex sword" strategies may be formulated to maximize profit from the selloff or get oneself out of trouble. otherwise, why really bother with crosses when you have a major selloff across girls? just go with the most liquid girl already

mostly correct. analysis.

for now is mostly us thingy.
still mending the balloon after burst due to pricing mismanaged.
then syria/creamia
then panda expands her 2nd system economy.
now flash systemic woes.

so relationship of the currencies are impacted. but mostly is watch all these on usd perspective.
since everything is traded vs usd.

the analyst will be trying see what impact is having across the board.

Normally a mm, he holds many currency books(basket of risk). when he is hit in 1 book, and he cannot find prices in the book he's hit. he will move risk to another book that has relationship.
if yu buy 1 diamond for 1 gf , surely you need buy a ruby for the other. if not another diamond. Thats why is good have a glass factory although is iuseful also have a bricks factory. not want throw diamonds at them when can throw bricks.

These analysis are more complex. when mm lies , normally are mio $ lies. So normally they nottry to lie.

Today maybe beginings of horrible days ahead.

They moving bulldozers digging up around the trees. maybe someone bought the cemetery for development.
already few birds left.
and the songs not as nice.

if they dig up the 100 year old trees, then ....................
i watching. I hope the spirits of all those resting in peace give these peeps the hell their bulldozers deserve.
Last thing i need is a mall right at my doorsteps. Too much sick peeps.

@Chief ... stadium? hmmm ... reminds me the little red dot's one has been delaying theirs since the crisis in 2008. Hearing finally opening sometime this year ... but on a phase approach

Cable looking back at monthly charts seems upside limited for the mom (2008-14 range)? but monthly too long. Currently age catching up ... I both long and short sighted now!

Oh btw, hope your dogs are still puppies..... I rem you said before, old dogs are the hardest the train !

my doggies, mostly in their teens already.
is wide range, have 1 old stump. Is not hard train new dogs old tricks. Is the new tricks i worry about.
the old dogs just not get it.

oh both long and short sighted, perfect eye sight, sees nothing clearly.
some things not for seeing, mostly feeling.
but of course can see and feel more accurate?

could you elaborate a bit more , i put already my thinking cap but afraid to lose energy in the wrong direction .. my thinking cap is may be not as good as yours but i m willing to fight hard to fill up at least a small part of the the gap ....

Ya ... Thailand is nice place. Full of surprise and excitment. Didnt the Asian Financial crisis started off by the Tom Yum
I think we do go in circles. The other day my little one showed my her basket of candies ... mentols, m&ms, tic-tak, skittles ... all shapes, sizes and colors. Just that when you go older, it will be the same but different taste!
I remember while serving kopi one day ... one of the traders told me something which is quite true. Everyone has different vices ... esp traders as it is like a balloon. If the pressure builts up, you need to release it in some form. So there are some who smokes, drink or gamble. Some find soul mates other than wifee guess that was the job harzard. Or is it the scopion in you??
