hey jm..... the ccfp indicator , and most all versions that followed , are based on moving averages..... fxrambler gave us the first, along with his neat method of doing the math......

the weakness in using strength in trading is the long wait for new signals..... boredom and impulse trading often sets in...... but as you mentioned, it is an excellent "springboard"....... a private variation of the ccfp is something i use everyday in real life trading......

Thanks for the links.
I was looking at coding a dashboard (heatmap) myself.
I have tested already with momentum supplied by MT4 and the formula from TASC works much better.
I will look at the source code version to see how the code compares to mine.

If the indies are not available I can code them when time allows.
Mostly output postioning as the numbers are already calculated.

BTW, for those who want only pair on chart I can recode the 4.1 or later version to remove excess code not needed.
That might speed up the indicator enough to reduce the overhead when placed on a lot of charts.

Maybe I can help?

Are you putting the indi in your MQL4/indicators folder (of your MT4 platform)?

There are no lines showing if you go back more then 3 weeks or so.

I zoomed in on your chart and I see an "i" at the end of the symbol name, similar to the m with IBFX.

Enter the letter i without quotes in the symbol_suffix input.

Also change All_Bars from 1000 to what number you want like 300 or ...

When time allows I will add the code to not require this.
My only concern is that it does add a little overhead.

Hi Guys,
Great thread. I am brand new to trading and am very happy to have found this thread and also the CCFp indi.
I am wanting to download this indi i.e. V1.0.2a [from page 7/post 127 Mr Pip] but failing to do so. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and would be grateful if someone can show me how its done. This is how I download an indi :

Right click on indi>>>save as>>>select C drive>>>programme>>>add broker>>>select experts>>>select indi>>>then save file. This should appear in the customs indi section, but it does not. Will someone please assist me with this download. Thankx.

I tried to add the indicator, it won't show in the indicator's list. It is in the indicator folder, I can compile it but it gives me no error but a warning saying price hide declaration...

It says that for every indicator I try to add, I have the build 646, is it the latest? I haven't add an indicator for a long time, did the process changed?
